Nice place but when we checked out there we were all sick from I believe sitting in the hot tub. Our fault. If you don't sit in hot tub then 4 stars. Having the ability to have your pets stay there is cool. Breakfast was good. Pool is good! So if you see the hot tub run away from it.

Thanks for the excellent review, and we are sorry you became sick during your visit. We can assure you, however, with 100% accuracy, that your sickness was not due to our hot tub. Unlike most public pools and hot tubs in Texas (where this is not required by law), we maintain strict pool and hot tub chemistry standards. In fact,... More

We stayed here three nights in the first week of August. We arrived a little early and they let us check in early, which is always a nice thing The front desk staff was always very friendly. We stayed in the "Seaplanes" room; all of the rooms are decorated in a different aeronautical theme, and it really is kinda cute.... More

Thank you for your thoughtful review, and I'm glad you enjoyed Port A! There are just a few comments I would like to add that might fill in some blank spots in your commentary. 1. Regarding the small size of the room, you reserved our smallest room. There are three room sizes available at Amelia's Landing, and you can enjoy... More

Having stayed here a few times before, we have never been disappointed. We arrived a bit too nearly to actually check in. We asked if we could still use the pool until our room was ready. We got lucky and were able to check in earlier only because the room was ready. This a prime example of how great this... More

First time at this Motel,,a fishing trip.Small but ultra clean and comfortable.Got up at 5AM to go fishing so really did not have time to enjoy much of the area.Loved the quiet and service was excellent.Made another RSV for end of July.Reminds me of how Service use to be.

My wife, myself and my son were going to Port Aransas to go deep sea fishing. I have stayed in different hotels there but decided to do some research on Trip Advisor. We wanted to stay in town close to the deep sea fishing headquarters. Amelia's Landing is the one we chose. I called to inquire about the hotel. The... More

We are glad you enjoyed your stay at Amelia's Landing. We have had a lot of fun finding artwork for each of the theme rooms and every room is unique. We rarely get asked about phones in the room, since all guests have cell phones these days, and the long distance rates on hotel phones are many times what you... More

In the 25 years I have traveled I never have had housekeeping neglect to clean my room by 4 pm. I had to pay extra for a pet friendly room PLUS daily pet fee, so it is reasonable to think that my room would be clean by 4 pm to have a place for my pets to go after being... More

I spoke with this guest at length about housekeeping. We promise our guests that they can check in by 3 PM (the earliest check in time on the island) and our check out is not until NOON (the latest check out on the island), so the housekeepers were very busy getting rooms ready on a sold out Friday. As soon... More

This hotel is a homegrown and family owned and operated. The price for the room was fair not too expensive and not too cheap either, considering the season is at peak the $$ was not too bad. The hotel claims they have themed rooms, but it seems to me that basically they have named rooms. My props to them for... More

Alas I wish this hotel were 20 foot from the beach. But it is a very easy drive to get there. It is right in the middle of the very fun shops and restaurants of Port Aransas. The style is old school mom and pop motel. This place would be right at home on Route 66 in 1958. Now please... More

This is my second stay at Amelia's Landing and I enjoyed it immensely. I love the aviation-themed rooms so that's a pleasant quirk, so to speak. The rooms are clean, comfortable, and air-conditioned. Good pressure in the shower, and breakfast outside the door at 0700. What more could one ask for? This place is not fancy, and that's OK. It's... More

This was my first time to Port A (as the locals call it). I stayed 3 nights and was solo. The last couple trips I've been trying to stay at family owned rather than my Marriott rewards location. It has been an enjoyable change. The location was perfect. It's a walk to a good many restaurants and shops. I slept... More
