We spent a week with Rosemary, visiting the towns and cities of the area. The house is wonderful. So light and spacious, full of interesting things without feeling cluttered, and definitely no chintzy, fake-Victoriana. All three rooms have access to their own porch looking over the extensive grounds. Breakfasts were fabulous and Rosemary was there each morning for interesting conversation...

What a beautiful home we found nestled in the bush near San Marcos and Wimberly. Ideal to relax and unwind in a natural bushland setting if you are wanting to take a few days break and be pampered. Our hostess provided spotlessly clean, beautifully spacious rooms looking out into natural bushland which can be enjoyed also from the wide verandas...

I was looking for a getaway weekend, with lots of R&R, and this was just the place. Very peaceful and comfortable, if you just want to catch up on some reading or enjoying the fresh country air. Or perfect to pop into nearby Wimberley, or San Marcos.... or visit the scenic area wineries. Do as much as you want, or...

You won't be disappointed in this well managed and friendly Bed & Breakfast. Warmly greeted with treats & a brief tour by the owner Rosemary. Delicious 2 course gourmet breakfast. Purposed-built in 2008 & beautifully appointed with period antiques & art. Each lovely bedroom has a private bath & French doors to a comfortable wrap around porch. Appears remote but...

We loved the house and the feel of it. It turns out that Rosemary was on vacation, but Adam did a great job filling in as host and cook for breakfast. We stayed two nights, and the breakfast was different each day. Great food and company. Lots of attention was given to the grounds, which includes a running brook and...

2 Course Breakfast is a treat! Owners made an excellent suggestion for dinner. Conversation in the living room prior to dinner was a welcome delight. They are located near glass blowing place and between San Marcos and Wimberley. We highly recommend it.

Rosemary is a most warm and welcoming host. She also serves an excellent gourmet breakfast. I visited with two of my friends. From the moment we arrived to the moment we hugged goodbye, I felt I was visiting a good friend. Her home is beautiful and comfortable. Rosemary designed the home and the three bedrooms are well situated. Each has...

We were visiting from New Jersey for our nephew's wedding. Alexandra's House looked really beautiful online. It is even more elegant and exquisite in real life!!! It definitely embodies all of the cozy ambience and modern amenities which the proprietors, Rosemary and Reed were striving for!!! They are the most warmhearted, welcoming and charming innkeepers that we have ever had...

My daughter goes to TSU and I decided to try this B&B in lieu of the usual hotel closer to TSU. It was a wonderful experience staying at Rosemary's (owner) house. First off it's beautifully decorated with antiques and wonderful paintings. This new country farmhouse is gorgeous; and filled with warmth and charm. Rosemary's home cooked breakfast is even better!...

Only 3 guest rooms. Spacious and decorated in country elegance. A five minute drive from Texas State University and you find Alexandra's House seeming alone in the Texas Outback. My wife and I were visiting our daughter at Texas State. When she was finished with mom and dad for the night, mom and dad enjoyed sitting in adirondack chairs just...

Alexandra's House is a beautifully furnished upscale Bed & Breakfast located just off RR12 and 10 minutes from either Wimberley or San Marcos in the Texas Hill Country. Located on 5 acres of Live Oaks and wildflowers, Alexandra's House offers a two-course breakfast, wonderful linens, private baths, hair dryers, TVs, DVDs, wireless internet, a wraparound porch and a screened porch for relaxing. Cozy ambience with modern amenities. The interior features wood floors, numerous windows, and a wide, central "dog-trot" hallway/corridor lighted with hand-crafted blown glass sconces from their neighbor Wimberley Glass Works. The kitchen is open to guests and is centered by a butcher block countertop. Outside the back door is a running stream with ponds, falls and lichen-covered rocks that provides a tranquil spot for guests to relax with the sounds of babbling water.
