This place is seriously adorable. It's not luxury but that's not the point. It's a quiet, out of the way, converted farmhouse. We stayed in the smaller room for a very reasonable price. Had the place all to ourselves except for the cows and the puppies. Would visit here again anytime.

We stayed here for the weekend of our anniversary and it was adorable! The owners were very nice and it's a very private location, perfect for a romantic getaway. We will definitely stay here again next time we head that way! Great price for the room and very comfortable. I highly recommend!

We were looking for a getaway, and were looking for a quiet, peaceful place. (Since we love craft beer - we wanted to stay in Shiner, TX). We found this property online, and stayed because of the reviews. Absolutely wonderful! The guest house was very moderately priced at $69.00 (for a very comfy queen size bed). The owners, Laura/Gary, were...

This is a great location for hanging out and relaxing! The house is a beautiful old farm house renovated into a 2 room guest house. The owners are very polite and quick to give advice about places to go and things to see around Shiner. if we make it back this way we will definitely try and stay here again....

We've stayed at the Shiner Hillside Guesthouse at least 4-5 times in the past two years. Owners Laura and Gary are the nicest people! Located on a small, gravel county road, it can be a little intimidating to try and get to especially at night, but that quickly disappears once you arrive. Ellie the loveable property dog will run out...

“Either room is great. The Black Lager Room is good for a group of friends or a family who want/need the extra space of the adjoining room and kitchen/dining area. The Blonde room is more suited to a couple. There are cattle on the property so you'll hear "mooing" from time to time.”
  • Long driveway from the County Road
