We absolutely loved our stay at Wildhorse!! We stayed in #7. Everything was clean and kitchen was fairly well supplied. We loved Louise...fantastic, personable woman...we had great conversations with her 😊The views were fantastic...had breakfast out on the porch every morning, before beginning our day. We will definitely be going back and will absolutely stay at the Wildhorse!!

Reviews from Trip Advisor prompted me to book a couple of nights at Wildhorse station and I wasn't disappointed. The owner, Louise, was very hospitable and did all she could to ensure my comfort. Wildhorse Station consists of a half dozen or so "cabins" scattered across a couple hundred acres of Chihuahuan Desert climbing up the side of the nearby...

This rating is NOT based on decor. Or amenities. Or the food. It is based on the experience that you get to enjoy if you stay here. Wildhorse Station is quite simply a set of trailers on blocks, sprinkled around a property owned by a lovely lady named Louise, about a 10m drive to the West entrance of Big Bend...

We LOVED this place! Louise was great. We enjoyed our visit with her. As stated in other reviews, if you are looking for luxury, then this is not for you. But it has all the basic necessities. The view of the front porch of Cabin 1 was incredible. It faces north so you get to enjoy both sunrise and sunset...

I'm glad I stayed. Stayed in Cabin #2, a mobile home set on a mountainside with lots of beauty on all sides. Not exactly like a well-appointed hotel room, but I'm good with that. Didn't see any spiders (like one reviewer noted) during my four-day stay. Bed was OK only. Like some reviewers have noted, Cabin #1 seems nice. The...

We visited Big Bend over spring break and everything was booked, everywhere. Found this place and they had one cabin left, #7. It was old and worn, but it is clean, quite and peaceful. The beds were soft and we had a great nights rest. The owner was very accommodating and helpful. This is literally a bunch of older mobile...

Perfect location to stay for visiting Big Bend. Close to the Terlingua Ghost town, 20 miles from Lajitas and 10 miles to Big Bend's west entrance makes this place the most convenient one to stay. The host Louisa shall give you the details on availability. You just need to call her to book your cabin. We booked this place just...

We had Cabin 4, with 2 bedrooms (2 twin beds each), living area, kitchen, bathroom. It has a porch with chairs and a table for sitting and just enjoying life. It was perfect for my family of five (including 3 teenagers). We were able to keep groceries in the fridge, cook breakfast, and prepare lunches for our day hikes in...

After reading TripAdvisor reviews, called to book and asked for Cabin 1 and was fortunate enough to get it. The view was awesome. The cabin was worn but clean. We enjoyed so much the deck overlooking the desert. Since the cabin in high on a hill, we could not get enough of the beautiful view. Louise is very cordial. Her...

Wonderful site for visiting the Big Bend Country. Modest accomodations at best but the hospitality of owner, Louise overcomes any shortcomings. The view for either Cabin 1 or 2 (as shown in picture) are spectacular. A bargain for the price charged. Very clean, though showing wear but an excellent choice for the area.
