Walking down the hallways smells of cigarette smoke. Our room smelled ok when we got there, but it was as humid inside as an indoor swimming pool. When we turned on the room air conditioning, the room eventually smelled of cigarette smoke and mold.

No, we traveled old Route 66 from Chicago to LA in April/May. There isn't much in way of lodging between Amarillo and Tucumcari, so we stayed at the Days Inn in Vega on a Saturday night, went to church the next morning in Adrian and planned to eat lunch at the Midpoint Cafe, but it was closed. Had to go all the way to the New Mexico Welcome Station and picnicked there. The Days Inn was nice enough, nothing special, would stay there again.
