This is a very different review than I normally give. This motel was built in 1964 by my grandfather, a man who graduated from 8th grade. I was 4 years old when we moved into this motel... my front yard was the historic Route 66. When I stay in motels now, they seem so "cookie cutter" from what I was...

$50. Clean room, A/C. Free wifi, cable TV. Not bad at all. Recommended. Cheaper than the Americas inn up the road. Must be cows around though, I smell cow poo. Overall happy with the stay. Don't let the funny name fool ya

The room was clean and very large. The beds seemed new and were VERY COMFORTABLE. The price was amazing (about $60 for 2 queen beds.) It was totally quiet. They offer cereals and coffee in he morning. We recommend it highly.

Too tired to continue driving another 35 miles to Amarillo so we stopped off in Vega. The first hotel was American BestValue listed on Trip Advisor for 80 dollars plus 10 dollars more for pets. The Office smelled of cat urine, & due to being a franchise the front desk clerk was unable to negotiate a lower price, so we...

Nice people..the rooms are comfortable an allow smoking. No tub in rooms but shower is good an very clean. A/C works great. Refrigerator an microwave as well as coffee pot. Good wifi an direct tv. The Rooster Mexican food in town is very good..the Hickory Inn is good food but a local hang out so always busy.

Stopped at 2 am on my way to Cali. The motels behind me along the interstate in Amarillo where running about $35 a night but full so I stopped in Vega at the first motel. Rooms old, bed was ok. Paid $56 and feel like the locals stay here for half that price. Woke up at 6 am to the...

The really cool part of this motel is that it is on the old Route 66, and as such is quite nostalgic. Being off the interstate it is quite quiet. A welcome relief. Additionally, it was quite affordable, comfortable and reasonably clean. It still has the beautiful old tile work in the bathroom and is reminiscent of days gone by....

I have stayed here multiple times on Motorcycle trips returning from Colorado to Dallas. It is the perfect distance from multiple spots in Colorado and places you close enough to Dallas to beat the heat if you plan for a early departure. It isn't a fancy place, but the A/C cooled my room down, the bed was comfy and the...

The Bonanza Motel was a nice, clean, quiet place to stay. The rates were decent. The room was fairly small, but efficiently laid out. The bathroom has plenty of room to move around in - although I don't remember any plug- ins in there, There are some in the bedroom portion to use a hair dryer.

We had a pleasant experience at the Bonanza Motel, the room was very clean, the bed was very comfortable, the room is large and had a table and chairs. The toilet/shower is seperate. We were checked in by a efficient young man, we assume he is the owners son, the two adults we met in the office on check-in/out didn't...

“If it's been more than a few months since this review, and/or the weather would be warm when you go there, it should be a good value. The negatives I described are all based on plumbing and probably caused by the cold weather.”
