We stayed at this Bed and Breakfast for my son's graduation from Baylor. We thought this old home, would be a charming Texas B & B. The first thing that hit me was the smell when I walked in the front door. It was a very heavy mold and mildew smell. Our room, which was upstairs, didn't seem to have...

I stayed here with my husband, daughter, and sister (in a different room) for a couple of days while visiting my father and had a great time! The owners are friends of my family, though they know my parents more than they knew me. The house itself is very interesting - it's decorated almost like an antique shop, with old...

A wonderful example of a forward thinking 1920's home with all the amenities of a modern B&B. The home is tastefully decorated to the period, both in the common areas and the bedrooms. Each room has a private bath. We stayed in the "Lacy Room" which was formerly the master suite, and it included a king bed, and a sort...

Colcord House is a charming bed and breakfast! Rick and Pam are awesome hosts! The Carriage House was perfect for the three members of our family. We had a delicious breakfast in the main house before heading home. We will go back!

Staying at Colcord House is like visiting a long lost relative. Home is a 1900's house filled with period treasures, esoteric books, collections, especially lovely beaded evening bags from the past. Approachable inn-keepers, helpfully available. Clean, tidy room and bath, tasty breakfast served in well appointed dining room. Some TLC of exterior house and gardens would complete charming experience.

This is a nice quiet hideaway for a romantic weekend or even extended stay. I very much like the owners, Rick and Pam Allen, long time Waco fixtures with extensive knowledge of the history and happenings of the region. The carriage house has its own parking in the back and it is a small private house, recently redone, but keeping...

I've stayed at the Colcord House twice, and will probably be there again in a couple of months. The first time was June 2012. My daughter and I stayed in the Carriage House, which consists of a bedroom, bathroom, living room with daybed, and a kitchenette. It was like taking a step back in history. My husband and I stayed...

We could not have been more please with our accomodations. The rooms were comfortable, spacious and tastefully decorated. The owners were friendly, accomadating and very helpful. The house is a grand old early 1900's style home that exudes charm. With a little TLC this B&B could be in a class of it's own. Very reasonably priced amongst it's competitors.
