We booked this motel back in April 2016 for September 2016. I talked to them twice to confirm our reservation. Smoking room. We were told both times yes confirmed. On our way to the motel from Capital Reef, we got a call, but in the mountains didnt register on my phone until we were out and could receive reception. We...

Stopped on the way from Canada to Bryce Canyon. The location was good for next day early drive to Bryce Canyon. Very basic, plain spacious rooms. Breakfast was not included, and cost for 2 rooms was $156. In the morning we got coffee at the reception, surprisingly was better than in most motels.

We had planned stay at Bryce National Park but when we went to the park the fog was so heavy that you could not see anything so we decided to drive on toward Capitol Reef. We stopped at Prosepector Inn. It had low rates and had decent reviews. The rooms were clean and the management was friendly.

The room was a good size, clean, neat, and quiet. The bed was comfortable. Several people checked-in in rooms next to and near me, and I did not know until I saw them the next morning. Plenty of wall outlets to charge my many gadgets. The lady at the front desk was very nice and helpful. There was even a...

Great place and friendly staff. Room was clean, neat, comfortable and a little larger than most rooms. No road noise despite being closed to the front of the building. Our end of the building had many people staying but you did NOT hear anyone through the walls either; quiet. We had no complaints and we would recommend staying here. The...

We were out camping in Escalante and our tent was blown down and broke. Drove into town late hoping for something open at a decent price. Prospector Inn was closed but had a vacancy sign with info on pricing. We rang the bell and were in a room within 5 min. Double queen bed, cable tv, clean room. Better than...

This was a convenient place to stay while traveling scenic byway 12. The gentleman at the front desk was most helpful and friendly. This is a no frills hotel covering our basic needs - comfort, affordable, and good location. Dining nearby but know that you won't really find anywhere to eat in the area after 9 pm.

Lucky to find a place to stay, Escalante is not a very big town, about half way between Capitol Reef and Bryce Canyon. Plain room but all we needed to sleep and get back on the road to Bryce Canyon and Zion National Parks. Most of the locals said they don't stay there in the winter because of the cold...

So glad to find a clean, comfortable, affordable place to stay on the way to Bryce Canyon. Lady at the front desk was sweet and helpful. Good place to stay if hiking, camping or on your way to Southern Utah's awesome sites!

In any larger city I would just go three stars but for a small seasonal town like Escalante this hotel is a pretty decent value. Beds are comfortable (not to soft). We stayed in the little single room cabins last night. I'm so glad they didn't have a vacancy for our second night which made us try the Prospector.

Thank Teraflex
