The best thing about the stay was the ability to drive right up to our first floor room. The room was clean enough, bed was barely comfortable enough, but okay, We had a fridge, but no microwave or coffee maker. Had to ask for a hair dryer. BUT worth it for the price of the room.

OMG.. Where do I start? The beds were horrible n old, could feel the springs! No coffee pot in room, no fridge, no micro, no one in lobby even at 6:30 am! Sheets had makeup on them and a strange spot that I'm not sure what it was! Yuck!! Didn't sleep at all and my neck and back are killing...

Our group of seven couples stayed at the Prospector on our way to Capital Reef. We enjoyed our stay. Inexpensive, clean rooms, very friendly staff. Nothing fancy, but comfortable. WiFi was free with good reception. Within walking distance of restaurants. Of course everything in Escalante is within walking distance! I would definitely stay here again.

Clean, well run hotel and another great place to transition before and after desert hiking. Staff friendly and helpful. Escalante is a good base to launch desert adventures. Well furnished attractive rooms. A little weird to see all of the jeeps and ATV equipment in the lot, but folks were well mannered. I think business is shifting to human powered...

I reserved 11 rooms for Easter weekend for a group of friends-we went down to hike the slot canyons and ATV. The Hotel is basic, but very clean. Front office staff Verda, Scott and Kathy treated us like family. Scott provided us with additional maps and places of interest to also hike and ATV. We will definitely return-the town has...

The staff are very friendly and helpful. The rooms are small but clean and good for the price. Very inexpensive. The only thing was that someone left a dirty towel in our room that the maids or cleaning staff did not remove from our room before we arrived. Otherwise quite nice.

What a great place! Myself and my parents stayed in two rooms for 3 nights. The owner is very friendly and helpful. The rooms are huge, but the downside is that they all only have 2 double beds. Very clean and comfortable. Each room has a microwave and small fridge, and an actual table with overhead light (which came in handy...

We stayed here 4 times in the past 6 years and found quiet, clean rooms. In the morning you can get hot tea or coffee or some ice from the machine on hot days. The staff - Mrs. Verda - is a very friendly and helpful lady and the Price is moderate. Some of the best Slot Canyons - Brimstone,...

The inn is what we look for when traveling. The rooms are spacious and clean. I must comment on the service and friendliness of staff. We were in Escalante during the national park shutdown. The town was virtually sold out without the shutdown, and rooms were completely sold out after adjacent parks closed. We had reservations at Zion-did not know...

We stayed here two nights. The room was comfortable. The motel is not fancy, but it was clean and quiet, and that's really all we needed. The location is convenient to several eateries, the post office, a gas station/mini mart, and most of the town. They have a gift shop with lots of interesting items.
