On this trip of a lifetime we had so far experienced illness and sadness. We arrived in Green River hot and tired, with sand beginning to blow all over our motorcycles. I approached the front desk to check in a sweaty, pink mess. My husband stayed outside with the bikes. Laura said, “ would you like me to upgrade you to a jacuzzi suite?” Would I ever! This was a 30th anniversary trip and so far it had been rotten. Her next words were ,”there is vegetable soup if you would like some.” What I heard was ,” come in and rest, have dinner and be refreshed”. I tried to express my gratitude for this simple, beautiful hospitality. The room was great- very clean. But the staff, namely Laura, were so welcoming that it was like a fairy tale where the main character finds an oasis in the desert. And we had. The next day we extended our stay without any difficulty. I highly recommend this hotel.…
We ended up doing a quick stay here at the Comfort Inn in a last minute decision. I made the reservation right before we got there online quick and easy. When I got into the hotel and got to the front desk the lady was all business and didn't give me times for breakfast or information of times to book, so that was a little frustrating and she started helping the person behind before I even signed my stuff. I just ended up calling to the front desk later and getting the information, so it worked out. They just need to slow down at check in and then it would have been great. The rooms were clean and the lobby looked great, very welcoming look to it. The pool is open late, so we were able to swim even though we had a late arrival and it was a nice pool area. Also the breakfast was really good and we enjoyed it.…
Saw the nice reviews, so I thought lets stay there. Called curt young lady at front desk on way in to ask for rollaway. Took about two minutes to explain what a rollaway was. Told me it would be in our room for $10. Met at the front desk twenty minute later by the "unfriendly statue." No greeting. Only grunts. Not an ounce of friendliness or even acknowledgement that we were there. Finally gave statue my name and asked for room Asked statue if rollaway had been set up. Response: "I have no idea." That was it. And guess what? Not only was rollaway not set up, there was no way to fit a rollaway into these cramped, charmless rooms, overlooking a dull parking lot. How on earth could they charge these prices for this dump? Don't ask the statues "manning" the front desk.
Did not like this hotel much because of the nasty carpet and stained bed skirt. It was a room in which my feet never touched the floor. Totally overpriced. Breakfast was pretty basic. Coffee was in a hallway between the front desk and the breakfast room. Weird.
Staff was rude, hated their jobs. Shower was moldy. Breakfast room had very limited supplies, all cold and carbs, no protein. Poor, even by Covid standards! Over priced for location in the middle of nowhere, and an extra hour drive from Arches NP. Wound NOT stay again!
