With our beautiful fall weather still holding out, we booked a family trip to a new part of the resort. Caboose village is full of train cars upgraded to hotel room status. The kids loved it, and we had a full kitchen for meals. Such a unique experience set along the river and at the base of so many atv... More

This is a beautiful place to stay in southern Utah. Newly remodelled and clean room and arrangements were made for us when we arrived very late. It is quite an isolated area so everyone demanding wifi and every convenience on demand are missing the point why people choose to stay here. Big Rock Candy Mountain is scenically situated behind the... More

I booked a river float last night for today through the resort's "Awesome Adventures" tours. My husband and I are traveling from Bryce Canyon to Capitol Reef in an RV and thought this would be fun and worth the side trip on our way. When we arrived we were told the water was too low to do the float. We... More

Don't expect the Ritz. Just remodeled rustic with pine board paneling. Clean, comfortable and quite. No room phone, no WIFI, no AT&T cell service, perfect for peace and quiet getaway. Restaurant next door has a good breakfast but closed on Tuesday's, opens at 8 am. Gas station across the street is the office and gift shop.

Hi and Thanks so much for your review! Yes, we are definitely NOT the Rizt, and you described our rooms perfectly! Just wanted to point out that we do have WIFI at the resort...when it's really busy, and lots of people using it, it doesn't always work throughout the property, but it is always available if anyone wants to sit... Horrible place. Stopped by recently to get gas and a snack on our way to Bryce Canyon. Two of the four gas pumps didn't work, the bathrooms were dirty -- the vanity holding the sink in the women's bathroom was broken and the toilet was unstable and not seated properly -- and the gas was much more expensive than at... Rooms have been remodeled and are very cute with a kitchenette and the owners and staff are very friendly. This place makes a great getaway for a few days. Don't expect the Hilton, but for a relaxing weekend you can't beat it. There is WiFi but phone service is very spotty.

Thanks Shaun for your review, we appreciate our guests taking time out of their lives to post reviews! yes, all of the Inn Suites (Motel Rooms) have been remodeled and include kitchenettes and updated decor, and we thank you for mentioning that! Cell Phone Service at the resort is VERY limited, due to the limited towers in the area. We... More

This was my first time to big rock candy mountain. What a beautiful place! There is so many ways to enjoy the natural beauty of the mountains. Spent the early morning ripping through the trails on our atv's and utv's. As long as you are respectful there is no problems riding on the roads to get to the trail of... More

Thanks so much for the great review, and we hope you come back and see us again. The temperatures the past 10 days or so have been pretty high, but looks like we're getting back to our regular, normal summer temperatures! More

On our tour of Utah national parks, my husband and I had booked a caboose in the Caboose Village. We arrived just after the convenience store closed at 5pm which is also where check-in was. But one of the owners who had just pulled away saw us and got us settled in. We were skeptical about the setting of the... More

We stayed in one of the train cars, #6. It was so cute and clean! We were very comfortable for the night. My husband LOVED the 2 shower heads in the bathroom. We stayed here pre-season (early May), so the weather was unpredictable. The resort restaurant and most amenities weren't available ( I was prepared because I'd read another TripAdvisor review). We drove around, finding someone down by the rail cars who told us how to check in. The bike path to I-70 looked like fun, but with it being 40's and... More
