I have to say after reading the reviews I expected more from the hotel. It was almost like staying at a friends house, but much more expensive. I have stayed in B&Bs before and the atmosphere was much cozier and I felt pampered. Here I had to check myself in, and there was no one around to help with bags...

Nice property, friendly staff. Breakfast is adequate. Good eggs, bacon, sausage. Poor fruit (frozen thawed I think or canned). Pancakes are good, waffles not so much. Wife liked the French toast. Room was clean. If you have several electronic devices that need recharging, be sure to bring a multi outlet strip as outlets are scarce. Bed of room 1 was...

Most of the recent reviews explain the concept of the stay with the Grist Mill Inn. We did find it unusual that we were not greeted by a host or owner. We stayed in the Adams room and it was very nicely presented. We travel with a cooler and located the very large kitchen and placed our cold items in...

The Grist Mill is a lovely old building that has been renovated with care to make a great base for exploring SE Utah. The bed was comfy and the room spacious. The communal areas were lovely too. Would recommend it.

First, there are very limited lodging options in Monticello, so if you must stay there this B and B is OK. We stayed here for 2 nights on 5/1 and 5/2. We stayed in the Corbin room so any room comments are specific to that room. We found the breakfast mixed, good pancakes and waffles overcooked scrambled eggs, pleasant service....

The room was clean and comfortable, but the B&B experience was nonexistent! We met our host when we checked out, and all she said was, "Checking out?". I asked if she lived there and she said yes. No name, no welcome, nothing. Breakfast was good, but there were two sittings and if you did meet someone to chat with, you...

Unfortunately we did not have a great experience at this Inn. Apparently the owners were out of the country, and there was no manager on site to greet us and give us information regarding our stay. Instead we were told by a "guest"' who was in the kitchen when we arrived, that she booked the entire Inn and we would...

Our group of six very much enjoyed our recent stay at the Grist Mill Inn Cottage. With four bedrooms and equal number of bathrooms, plenty of beds, kitchen and common area we were extremely comfortable. We were able to rent the entire cottage at half the price we were originally anticipating spending in Moab and the Monticello location was closer...

The Grist Mill Inn is a great stay as long as you are aware that it is a refurbished old mill and restored cottage. If you like friendly, a little funky and very quaint, you'll enjoy your stay very much. It is clean and comfortable and they serve a hearty, full order breakfast. It is interesting to be in the...

Great place. Really nice people. Well maintained old (historic) buildings. Mattresses must have pillow tops because they are soft and cozy. Breakfast was 90% superb. They aren't coffee drinkers so if you need strong coffee go get it at the excellent restaurant on Main St, the Peace Tree Inn. Hey Grist Mill people- just buy a Keurig machine because some...
