The inn and grounds are beautiful - well except the fountain could be improved. Our bathroom had been updated, but lacked craftsmanship. The room looked period appropriate - but the Victorian sofa in the room was very uncomfortable. There is a cash bar in a nice sitting room that has limited selections. The hot breakfast wasn't fancy - but it...

We had a very nice stay in the Ice House. The room was spacious and very quiet, and the location is close to the battle monument and the town center. Breakfast was good and the staff was attentive and helpful. I would stay here again. Bennington is truly wonderful for the foliage. Hike to Harmon Hill for a scenic view!

We enjoyed our one night stay. Our room was quiet, the bed comfortable, the grounds are very nice. The inn is convenient to town restaurants. Our breakfast the next day was very good and filling, and the young woman waiting on us was very attentive and friendly. The room we had was cozy but if one thing good be improved...

Lovely accomodations, but the very loud AC unit in the room prevented sleeping well. Breakfast was okay, not great, definitely not what we've experienced at other 5-star B&Bs in New England. Innkeeper was friendly, but it'd be nice if she'd keep up on the current goings on in the area such as festivals, etc., and have that available to the...

Interacting with our guests and helping them discover the best of our area is one of our favorite parts of innkeeping so I am very sorry that we missed giving you the service you deserved during your visit. The good Spacious room with nice bathroom Nice location and grounds Helpful member of staff to meet us (Bethany) The not so good Absolutely no soul and feels strangely anonymous and unwelcoming Very noisy at night - our ground floor room located next to the bar Lots of loud nocturnal creaking from upstairs which kept me awake until I improvised...

I am happy enjoyed your room and would have loved if your entire experience was as positive. Our bar is kept purposefully small -- only open to overnight guests and closes quite early -- specifically so that all of our guests can enjoy a quiet evening. I am very sorry that that was not your experience and can assure you...

My wife and I stayed here on a Fall colors trip. Very nice place! This restored, turn off the century mansion has all of the details you would hope for in a b and b. It was well maintained, the staff was pleasant and helpful, and the breakfast was the best we had on our entire trip. Nice touch to...

The host was most unwelcoming, almost as if we were trespassing. The rooms were cheaply renovated outhouses, dark and dingy. The bed shuddered when the other person moved - we had the worst nights sleep. Our breakfast was tiny compared to other B&Bs, which they tried to disguise with elaborate crockery and table settings. I am amazed at the positive...

I am very sorry our accommodations and greeting were disappointing. We pour our hearts into this inn and genuinely want every experience to be a positive one. We clearly missed the mark during your visit, and for that I sincerely apologize.

The building, accommodations, breakfast and landscaping is all wonderful. That alone gets the place a 5 as the staff was incredibly friendly and helpful too but... I didnt interact with any staff that was knowledgeable of all the history that surrounded us, even restaurant referrals were tempered with "Ive only been here for 3 months". I'm more than confident time...

We were warmly greeted by the Inn's staff which assisted us with our luggage up to our reserved room on the 3rd floor. The room was spacious and bed very comfortable although the air conditioner was a bit noisy. However, the use of ear plugs at night negated the sound. The rather large grounds on which the Inn is situated...

We stayed one night at the Four Chimneys Inn in Bennington, Vermont on our way to a more rustic camping experience. The elegant comfort of this B and B was the perfect preparation for a week of roughing it in the bush. The Inn is a restored 1913 mansion done up in cream and the occasional bit of chintz--there's a...
