My husband and I stayed at the Inn on Putney Road for one night during an adventure around New England. Absolutely wonderful in every way. Our only regret is not staying longer. The hospitality, the comfort, the food-- all top notch. Highly recommend this B&B.

Beautiful surroundings, peaceful back yard, quiet room and friendly hosts make this a place we'll happily come back to. Plus it's a perfect location--easy walk to town and great places to explore nearby in a car. Loved local farmers market, cheese shop and swimming in the river.

Thank you so much for your review. We are happy that you enjoyed your stay. The Brattleboro farmer's market is really quite a treasure. It happens every Wednesday and Saturday, and is always a guest favorite. Downtown is filled with art galleries and wonderful places to eat. We are glad you got to explore some of it while you were...

My fiancé and I spent the second week-end of April at the Inn on Putney Road. Owners Cindy and John are very warm and welcoming. Our room (Spalatin) was very quiet although it is street-side. The bed was super comfortable and the room very tastefully decorated, incorporating antiques and modern artwork. The bathroom had nice antique appliances and many amenities....

John and Cindy are two very caring Inn Keepers who make sure your stay is just right. The Inn is warm and inviting with tea and coffee available all day. A cosy fire awaits in the sitting room. The rooms are original, large and elegant with super comfy beds. Bathroom was large clean and full of lots of little extras...

Thank you so much for your kind words. It was a pleasure having you here, and getting to know you a little bit. We know that Australia is a ways from Vermont, but we hope that when you are back this way, you will come to see us.

What a great find! Had to travel to Vermont for business (not my usual destination) and I rather randomly stumbled on Inn on Putney Road... Boy was I lucky. Impeccably maintained, gracious and authentic hospitality, amazing breakfast and just a warm, charming, cozy inn. You felt as comfortable as you would in the beautiful home of a friend or family....

Thank you so much for your kind words. Having been in the corporate world for many years, and attending, organizing, and presenting at many many meetings, I can tell you that the most productive and memorable are the meetings we had at Bed & Breakfasts. Whether it be for department meetings, sales meetings, or leadership team retreats, the comfortable, relaxed...

Thank you so much for your review. We are glad you enjoyed your stay with us. We are constantly working at improving the Inn and the total guest experience. This Spring we will be moving the hot tub out on the deck overlooking the river. The views of the "meadow" are beautiful year round, and we are excited to share...

John and Cindy's inn is very lovely. We really enjoyed our stay - the bed is super comfortable, the room is bright with sunlight, and the bathrobe is superbly comfy and soft. John and Cindy took great efforts to make our stay comfortable and relaxing. We stayed with many B&Bs over the past few years and I know this one...

Sandy, Thank you so much for your kind words. It really means a lot to us! With winter upon us, skiing and snowshoeing are drawing people to Vermont. It is also the slower time of year, which we use to update rooms. We just completed the update to the Ripley Suite, making more room in the living area, and otherwise...

I love everything about this B&B: the people, the amenities, location and room. We loved playing pool and relaxing in the hot tub as well as just relaxing in our room (The Garden Room) watching one of the many DVDS available. The only thing we really missed was the pub that used to be on site serving local beers. Also,...

Thank you so much for your review. I am so sorry that you were disappointed by the pub being gone. The good news is that the former owners, Tim and Amy, opened a wonderful brew pub just down the road called Whetstone Station! They brew their own craft beers and serve wonderful lunches and dinners that many, many of our...

Stephen, thank you for your review. It was a pleasure meeting the two of you, and being able to share a small part of your honeymoon with you. Brattleboro does have quirky shops, which are fun to explore, but tucked around every corner and alley are art galleries that are not to be missed. We look forward to seeing you...

John and Cindy Becker recently purchased this lovely bed and breakfast in Brattleboro, VT. What a lovely building with white painted brick and slate roof. Thank you so much for your kind review. We are so glad that you enjoyed our Inn. Although the cut-leaf Japanese Maple is unlikely to be the "oldest in the world" it is the largest in North America. As of this writing, it is still full of crimson leafs, extending the leaf-peeping season in New England (at least in our...
