My son was running Spartan Beast-2016 and we found this place at the last minute. This is a beautiful house with lots of character and extremely warm and welcoming host. This place is surrounded with beautiful views and calm an pure surroundings. The place was very clean and comfortable. The food was excellent! I would Highly recommended this to anyone.

A Family Reunion brought us to Vermont this August, and good fortune brought us to the Pond House Bed & Breakfast. My partner and I shared the Green Room, it was quaint and clean, with hillside views out of the 3 windows and it had an en-suite bathroom. The bed, quiet surroundings and fresh night air had us sleeping like... More

There are three issues that make a bed and breakfast: it's not a hotel, it's your house, and most importantly, you're comfortable. All revolve around ambiance, We could go to a Marriott or Hilton, but that's not why we stay in a B&B, We stay because we want the ambiance of "our house" wherever we are. The Pond House is... More

A wonderful old farmhouse perfectly converted to a B&B. Beautiful views and surroundings. Great location to explore new England with many day trip possibilities a short drive away. The accommodations were tasteful, clean and comfortable. The food was excellent! Great walking trips right out the back door! Close to skiing and fishing and biking! Highly recommended!

We just returned from a 2 night stay at the Pond House Inn. We were extremely pleased with our choice of this B&B. A very large, spacious room, seating/reading area with newly remodeled large bath area, inclusive of amenities. Two living room areas downstairs if you decide to read/relax in the evening or even have a cocktail ! The owner,... More

I could not believe how we stumbled onto this place. My friend and I were looking for a three night VT ski getaway. We checked out places in Manchester and Killington, all pricey. Add in the dog, and it was tough to find a place under budget with charm that accommodated our needs. I went searching through Google Maps for... More

The problem with this place is the owner. She is very rigid, stingy with food, and does not make one feel welcome. I was depressed being there and could not wait to leave. The owner also insists on talking with guests and since we were the only ones there, we were not left alone. She also charges a lot for... More

Aside from two amazing home-cooked gourmet breakfasts and one yummy dinner, the rustic setting, toasty living room fire stove and huge and plush bed in which you can easily lose yourself made this an amazing two-night stay. Gretel is painfully detail oriented and takes great pride in her B&B hospitality, and anyone can easily sense that she truly loves what... More

It was our first time exploring the beautiful state of Vermont in the winter times, and we decided to treat ourselves with a more personal Bed and Breakfast experience. How little did we know - It simply turned out to be a very memorable and enjoyable experience staying at The Pond House Inn. We usually don't take the effort to... More

We stayed at the Pond House Inn for three nights for Valentine’s Day. We chose this B&B based on the description, website information, pictures and because they happily accept dogs. The owner, Gretel, was very responsive to my emails and was very knowledgeable on the surrounding area. The accommodations were just as I had expected them to be. The room... More
