For an ordinary room with a bad layout (TV very hard to see from the bed) and a view of the parking lot, we thought nearly $400 was too much. However, there was a nice bar in the lobby with an excellent jazz combo playing...More

Dear Barb W,

this hotel is right on the Waterfront. UVM is up the hill - it is a long walk or a short drive. The Courtyard/Hilton are side by side on the Waterfront close to Church Street where the shops / restaurants are. Both of these hotels have pay parking. Another option with free parking is the Doubletree/Sheraton/Best Western close to the mall, although that would not be a nice walk as it is on a busy Boulevard.
The Waterfront location is much better for walking around downtown Burlington, however it is more expensive than the other hotels right off the highway, but in a less desirable location for walking (but offers free parking).
