We visited Naulakha on two occasions since our friends were renting it for their wedding weekend. We were staying at another Landmark Trust property not too far away. Our stay at was truly memorable. I have not been able to stop telling people at home about the house, the town, and our entire experience. When I first found out about Naulakha, a few days before our stay, I knew, with the new Jungle Book movie headlining is all the local theaters, that it was a case of serendipity...

This is a Landmark USA trust property that belonged to Rudyard Kipling and has some of his original property/furnishings....

If you're in the Brattleboro area for a wedding, family gathering, corporate retreat, etc, this would be a...

This is a historical home. The Landmark Trust is famous for rehabilitating and renting such properties, both here and across the pond. Please do not come here unless you are (at very least) respectfully fond of Rudyard Kipling. This is the only home he built and it sleeps 8. It is most ideal for families whose children enjoyed _reading_ Jungle Book....
