We enjoyed a great variety of activities. We visited the perrenial gardens, explored walking in the fields and trails, as well as mountain biking on the Kingdom Trails. There are various sites to visit nearby such as Steven Huneck Art Gallery and the Chapel of the Holy Family. Our breakfasts were fantastic, they prepared fresh baked goods and Fritatas from...

My family has visited the Inn at Mountain View Farm several times. It is our favorite place to stay in Vermont. The children love it. It is set atop a majestic mountain in the Northeast Kingdom - an ideal setting for a weekend getaway for hiking, skiing or simply relaxing away form home. The staff is wonderful and welcoming. The...

We have visited many times over the years with family and friends, including young children. We always feel welcome to roam freely around the property, gardens and trails. The inn is clean and comfortable. The animal sanctuary, on the grounds, is a special place for children to connect with the animals and learn about what brought them to the farm....

Thank you for your kind words and for your many visits to the farm and sanctuary. One of the things we try to do at the sanctuary is demonstrate to children the humane and loving treatment of animals, and it's wonderful to see how they respond to this -- the children AND the animals!

The staff here when we stayed last summer were a delight. My daughter loved the animals at the Animal Sanctuary, She also enjoyed helping the gardener plant a couple of tomato plants! The views were incredible, and having grown up in the area, haven't found a hotel better for scenery. They are located right on the Kingdom trails and minutes...

This Inn is wonderful. It's beautiful, the views and the gardens are incredible, the owners and staff are super friendly, AND the barns are filled with a farm animal sanctuary. I could not think of a better place to get away! Marilyn and John made me feel so welcomed and shared so much information about the historic buildings and surrounding...

We used to stay at this inn regularly (IE at least once every summer). It's a very beautiful spot. Things changed for the worse after their lovely manager Kate left, and one of the owners- Marilyn- started dealing with us. Marilyn is one of the most unpleasant hosts we've ever met: rude, brittle, unwelcoming, seems to hate children. She also...

As is clear from our many reviews on this site, the vast majority of our guests have enjoyed the Inn and the ambience we have worked to provide over the last 27 years. When we do receive a critical review, we always look into opportunities to improve, and we do appreciate constructive criticism. This “review” is different because of its...

I have been visiting this Inn for 15 years, every time I have found it nicely improved , always more flowers and I love the blueberry bushes and the garden. It is peaceful and I always feel pampered by the staff. For me it is like my Yoga time. I want to thank Marilyn and John Pastore for keeping such...

My fiancé and I went to the inn for a weekend of mountain biking and to scout a possible wedding location, the biking was amazing, the inn wasn't. While the inn had a beautiful deluxe room that lived up to its booking my rave review stops there. Power went out the first night, no generator equals no air conditioning! Soft...

We take all criticisms seriously, because we are always trying to improve. During your stay, an unusual storm knocked out the electricity for about five...

We were married here two years ago and had a fantastic experience then and a similar experience just this weekend. To begin with, it would be hard to find a place that has a more scenic setting. There are absolutely stunning views of Burke Mountain from many places on the property. There is a hillside on the other side of...

We stayed here to do some mountain biking on the Kingdom Trails, which can be directly accessed from the Inn. The Inn is in a beautiful old creamery building that has been lovingly restored. The scenery around the Inn is breath-taking. You have beautiful views of Burke Mountain at breakfast and the sunsets are spectacular. You are in for a...
