Spent several hours there, eating lunch (having tea) and walking the gardens. Also made a purchase of a plant. The lunch, a quiche, was very tasty. Many teas to choose from, with coffee or ice tea/coffee available as well. Did not have room for dessert! We went without a reservation - a mistake - but they squeezed us in. Beautiful... More

We didn't stay the night, just wandered up on a rainy day, a group of 6 senior ladies, to see the garden, greenhouses, gift shop, and tearoom. We were able to be seated inside and by the time we finished our tea, it had stopped raining, making for a somewhat soggy but lovely walk about the grounds. This was a... More

There has been a bit of justifiable praise written here for the tea room at Perennial Pleasures Nursery, but I’m going to ignore that for a moment and talk about the nursery itself. If one wants to learn about what will grow in Vermont or how to grow it, this is the place. I have never been in a nursery... More

Tea at Perennial Pleasures is cucumber sandwiches with fresh herbs, tender scones slathered with homemade strawberry jam and whipped cream, delicious cookies and tea done right, all served in a beautiful and fragrant garden setting. Browse the fantastic gardens and unique gift shop afterwards. Perennial Pleasures is a Vermont summertime indulgence!

Can't think of a better place to spend the afternoon that since of the airy deck, a couple of scones with whipped cream and jam in front of me and a nice pot of tea! My only regret is that they use whipped cream instead of the real clotted cream (hard to find in America but not impossible). Nice gardens... More

This review is for the tea room only. What a lovely find in East Hardwick. The restaurant offers a nice selection of hot and iced teas along with savory and sweet options. Choose a traditional cream tea or a more typical lunch type item followed by a sweet. Black currant fool was delicious, as was the gazpacho. Appropriate for lunch... More
