We were looking for a place to get away for a couple of days. Two couples looking to get away together without kids (though kids are very welcomed). When I came across Windekind Farm it seemed too good to be true but they had exactly what we were looking for, a cabin that had two separate rooms, separate baths and...

Excellent Location - It's 40 mins from Burlington, Stowe and Montpelier. The Farm - We stayed in both the Studio and Breidablick and I’ve honestly never been in a rental cottage this nice. Both buildings were custom designed by the family and it shows in every detail. My only regret is that we didn’t spend more time on the farm....

Another interesting and helpful review, thank you for the information about restaurants. Also, Jeremy you opened my eyes to fly fishing which is such a special sport. We appreciated your willingness to move from one building to another and your overall appreciation of the farm and ourselves and yes! Please come again. . All the Best Mark

My own family, extended family, and I booked all of Windekind's units over the July 4 weekend. We needed a place to stay for a relative's nearby wedding. However, Windekind turned out to be much more than just a place to stay; our weekend was one of the best vacations we have ever had. Mark and Marijke were perfect hosts--generous...

This place is a bit out of the way, but we were able to easily explore the Burlington and Montpelier areas from here. We stayed in the studio, which is a small one bedroom apartment above the garage/workshop. There is a small pond and a field with cows nearby. They also connect to a decent amount of hiking/cross country skiing...

I stayed at Windekind while skiing the length of the Catamount Trail. I was able to ski right to the door of my suite. While there I skied some of the groomed trails at Windekind and Camels Hump - nice views and fun skiing. Mark and Marijke were wonderful hosts, even inviting me to lunch with them. Mark picked me...

Congratulations Bob Because of your visit we were able to get a vivid impression of what it takes to make this trip and its rewards, which according to you Bob, had a lot to do with being alone with nature in some very wilderness settings. It was our delight to have you at Windekind as winter trail voyager. In a...

Calling all yogis, mediators, x-country skiers and lovers of silence, beauty and vastness. Windekind Farm is all of that. What a gem we stumbled upon. All of their lodging options are unique and inviting. We spent 4 nights in the studio which was wonderful. We will be back very soon. Thank you Mark and Marlene.

“The cottages are appropriately outlined and described on the website in terms of size however, they are much lovelier in person! There are so many details that can't possibly be seen in a photograph.”
