We camped here last month (end of Aug 2016). There was about 15 of us. First time camping in VT, we usually camp in NH on the Kanc. So this was very easy camping compared to what we are use to- bathrooms have electricity and are very clean with showers (coin operated). The sites are clean, raked and look nice....

My family had great time here. This was exactly how camping should be. We tent camp so I don't like to be surrounded by rvs and generators...there was none of that here. There was lots to explore. A great playground for the kids and the one amenity I feel strongly about...clean bathrooms and hot shower (coin operated but worth it)....

We're picky campers, we like private sites, clean restrooms and quiet hours that are enforced by park staff. Jamaica State Park was okay when using those requirements. First, the sites are ok, not very private and kind of close together. The photos of the campsites on their website are not accurate to what they look like today. It appears that...

A very well run, clean campground. The sites are super clean and the staff is very professional, friendly and helpful. I personally observed them dealing with a slightly noisy neighbor and by the standards of a lot of campgrounds, they weren't even that noisy but I appreciated them taking care the noise. They make regular rounds and the sites, grounds and bathrooms are...

Stayed for 2 nights,Very nice sites, spacious and clean. A litttle more crowded that i usually like, and a lot of family parties/noise going on.Many children. Nice hiking trail and great swimming holes along the West river.

I've been camping at Jamaica State Park for 35 years and it simply can't be beat. The campground is immaculate, the staff is very helpful, the sites provide a level of privacy and the sound of the river rushing over salmon hole lulls you to sleep. Get supplies, beer, wine and cheese at D & K General Store on Rte...

Beautiful spot w/ white water paddling, waterfalls, hiking trails, quaint village a 15 minute walk, and a great campground close to Main Street! Hike to Hamilton falls or to the top of the dam! There are river swimming holes during the summer.

If you want be totally with nature yet an easy walk from a sweet little town with the greatest country store complete with deli, great wines and basic supplies, Jamaica is for you. You won't hear any noise except the river gurgling and birds singing with an occasional log truck on the highway. This spot seems to attract only polite,...

Wow! This campground will forever be our benchmark. The sites were even raked! We were in the Maple site. It had a large lean-to. You could hear the river rushing amongst the rocks. We heard lots of birds in the morning. The site is mostly shaded. I didn't even bother with bug spray because the mosquitoes and flies were few...

Our family just spent three nights at this campground and had a terrific experience. Every ranger was polite, friendly, and helpful. The entire campground is well maintained; the bathroom closest to our site was cleaned multiple times each day. Of note, there are signs on all the bathrooms that they are closed at 10 pm for cleaning. There are only...
