Been there for one night. Not sure why its called "resort" when clearly its much more like a motel. The pool facility were not very clean and the sauna wasnt even working! The room were very basic. As for the included breakfast, when we went to the reception/breakfast area it was closed and no one was there. So couldnt have our...

Clean, but dated rooms. Horribly uncomfortable bed, this was my biggest gripe. Really friendly staff. Nice outdoor hot tub, didn't check out indoor pool or hot tub. Great location, about as central in Stowe as you can be. We walked to the Bench for dinner. I would stay here again if I needed a cheap place for a single night,...

We recently stayed here while on a ski trip and one of the best things about the hotel is it's location, as it is close to the mountain and many restaurants. The rooms themselves were generally pretty clean, however, they could have used some improvements. The toilet constantly ran and the hot water in the shower did not last long...

For the price, the rooms are quite decent. They are clean and spacious and quite cozy. Only issue we had was that the heating was a bit excessive even after we turned the thermostat all the way down (in Feb) - so we just opened a window a bit and that took care of things. They also serve a proper...

The hotel is clean and pretty well kept. It was just my brother and I on a ski trip. We were joking that it reminded us of a college apartment only cleaner. Reasonable price and good for a guys trip. Good location. The suite is handy. I don't think my family would be ok with staying here (they are accustomed...

We needed a place to stay for a night on a recent ski trip to Stowe. Price and location were right. Breakfast is included, however it starts at 8AM, with lifts spinning @ 7:30 and some fresh powder we did not want to wait. I would have had coffee in the room except that the coffee maker had not been...

This is our second year in a row visiting Stowe and the Mountain Road Resort for a friends beer/ski weekend. Here are our thoughts about this visit: - Location - it is 3 minutes from the Alchemist Brewery and there are some decent restaurants about a 1/2 - 1 mile away. -Rooms are modern, clean -Rooms have a fridge to...

We arrived very very late/early in the morning and found our room key and a lovely note introducing us to the hotel taped to the door. Our late arrival was easily accommodated. The room was very large and comfortable and the fire place was excellent after a long day on the slopes. It was a was dated but suited our...

The Mountain Road Resort is located just right for travel around Stowe; whether you're skiing at Mt. Mansfield/Smugglers Notch, going to the Alchemist Brewery for some Heady Topper beer or visiting Ben & Jerry's or Cabot Cheese - it's an A1 location. It's excellent value for the money, and although it is not the Topnotch Resort or Stowe Mountain Lodge,...

Overall we really enjoyed our stay here. Beautiful resort in a gorgeous area. Close to shops, restaurants, Ben and Jerry's factory etc. Rooms were a great size and the fireplace is a lovely touch. We stayed in a king size room with separate seating area. Spotlessly clean and very comfortable. Only issue was being charged in my card two weeks...
