My wife and I stayed here for two nights in late June, and it was an absolutely lovely experience. The highlight was the breakfast (included): locally-grown, fresh, and expertly crafted by the Inn's owner. For instance, I had homemade almond-scented croissant French toast with sauteed peaches, real maple syrup, and local-made ice cream, while my wife had an eggs Benedict... More

This property has many options including quaint, comfortable rooms at the Inn. My room was comfortable and clean. Randy, the owner, was very hospitable and all of his staff were friendly. It is an older establishment and needs some TLC, but a good value for a location close to town. It is right across the bike path for outdoor enthusiasts.... More

I'd highly recommend The Gables Inn. My husband and I recently stayed here for one night and loved it. The rooms aren't fancy, but are comfortable and clean. The location on Mountain road across from the run/bike path is perfect. With a full homemade breakfast included (think blueberry pancakes, sausage and real VT maple syrup), it's the best deal in... I loved this hotel. We got the least expensive room option, and especially considering that it came with a fabulous breakfast, I consider it among the best money spent on our trip. We even extended our stay in Stowe by a day because the hotel was such a pleasure. Randy, the owner, is welcoming and kind. He even allowed us... More

We were on a motorcycle trip for 2 weeks and stayed in many B&B and hotels during our trip - but this one was special. First, Randy, the owner is an amazing guy, Every suggestions he gave us (from motorcycle roads to ride, places to eat and trails to hike) was perfect! When we woke up on the 3rd day... More

The rooms are a bit small, but very clean. I read the descriptions on the website and it was pretty much what I expected. The location is perfect and the breakfasts are amazing; I know we'll be talking about the food for years to come. Even if you don't stay here, you should definitely drop by for breakfast. Randy and... More

We loved our stay here. We booked our trip last minute and Randy the owner was very cool about it. He not only left us a key at the front desk but also upgraded us to a better room. The facilities and the room were clean and comfortable. The inn was filled with cute decorations, and felt like home. The... More

The Gables Inn was an awesome place to spend the weekend. Owner Randy was awesome and even changed our room to the Master Suite upon arrival pro bono because it was a slow weekend. Everything else was fantastic as well--the food and portions were awesome and all the amenities were great too. The location was perfect--halfway between Stowe Center and... More

We originally booked a queen room on a high floor (I like to have a view) but on arrival (as my husband had hurt his leg skiing) Randy the owner immediately switched us in a ground floor king room so that we (1) wouldn't have to fight with the stairs (2) had a sofa for elevating the injured leg on.... The establishment has a great location, it is a beautiful, traditional inn with a lovely dining room and some great amenities. The owner is very accommodating and very kind. He was very nice to us. Our shower wasn't working (no way to adjust the water temperature) and he allowed us to move to a nicer room. I had work to... More
