I stayed two nights at Black Bear Lodge with my family for a skiing vacation before the president week. As I got the explorer package, everything was nearly inclusive. It included lift ticket, skiing lesson, equipment rental, room, breakfast, lunch and dinner. Black Bear Lodge is only 5-mins away from the skiing slopes. The lodge offers nearly continuous shuttle to...

Sent my son here for a ski race. We made online reservations and when he got there they upgraded him to a condo complete with bedroom, kitchen and living area. He was very pleased! Great stay! Shuttle is very convenient to mountain too.

Front desk very helpful & friendly. Adequate breakfast. Rooms been redone a few years ago. Housekeeping does a thorough job. High end toiletries. Restaurant could use more reasonable choices, especially if vegetarian.

Stayed here 3/30/17 for two nights to celebrate my 5 year anniversary...we got married at Stratton on 3/31/12. When we stayed here for our wedding we stayed in the condos but for this trip we decided to stay in the Black Bear Lodge. We arrived at the mountain a little after 3 and our room was ready when we arrived....

We visited Stratton Mountain with our ski club. We all stayed at Black Bear lodge and found it to be very nice for our three night trip. The location was fantastic being at the base of the mountain. They had a shuttle that runs every 10-15 minutes right to the base of the ski slopes. The breakfast was good and...

I would have given a 5 rating had we not dealt with Megan at the front desk. The hotel was clean and comfortable, and the proximity and accessibility to the mountain couldn't be beat. The continental breakfast was really convenient and we loved using the hot tub facilities. However, Megan working the front desk was extremely confrontational and did not...

Stayed here with my wife and two kids (4yrs and 7yrs). Had an absolutely HORRIBLE experience. After skiing/snowboarding all day we came back to our room to clean up and for a quick rest before going out to dinner. Our room was suddenly engulfed by a very strong stench of marijuana. It completely took over the room to the point...

Perhaps Black Bear has seen better days. For the price, the location and shuttle are the really good points. We were assigned room 210, a handicapped-accessible room on the lower floor. If you do not need an accessible room, request another - there is no shelf or counter in the bathroom (more inconvenient than we imagined), so no place to...

The hotel assigned us a room next to a stairway and after hearing the banging within minutes we went back to the counter and asked to be moved to another room. I politely informed them that I would not be able to sleep with the noise. So they moved us to another room, right under a different staircase. 6 hours...

Great trip to Stratton, but was married by this place, went to the counter after a long day of skiing & driving, and their host Jeane-do, was very rude & acted like she couldn't be bothered??? I figured she was having a bad day. I let it go Next morning, the continental free breakfast and the one with charges wasn't...
