This B&B is 200 feet from the historic and charming Taftsville Country Store (cheese and wines galore) and 200 more feet from the Taftsvalle Covered Bridge, dam, and river walk. We stayed for four days in the Cameo Room Downstairs, large private bath, storage everywhere, gas fireplace, TV, and excessively comfortable bed. The hosts are utterly charming, helpful, intelligent, witty,...

This is the second time that we have stayed with Barbara and Michael..which in itself says a great deal. This is a beautiful Inn in a wonderful Vermont location. Barbara and Michael are gracious hosts, and the place is gorgeous. From the organic towels and sheets, to the comfortable rooms and incredible breakfasts, this place is terrific. Do yourselves a...

The hosts were warm and welcoming. They were interested in us and wanted us to enjoy our stay not only with them but in New England. The breakfasts were beyond our expectations . . . gourmet from start to finish. Each breakfast was a three course event served in the candlelit dining room. Our beds were comfortable with crisp lovely...

Barbara and Michael were the perfect hosts. Their B&B is exactly what we were looking for. A charming historic country cottage in a wonderful and gorgeous location only minutes from Woodstock, one of our favorite places in New England. Their reception was warm and welcoming with extra special treats left for us in celebration of our anniversary; we were treated...

The Apple Butter Inn was a peaceful and comfortable stay. We especially enjoyed the bountiful breakfasts, which started our day on a very positive note. The accomodations were very comfortable, and we couldn't resist returning to the Inn for a daily midday siesta. Barbara and Michael were extremely pleasant and informative innkeepers. As an added benefit, the location is centrally...

After many visits over the past few years, we continue to think of the Applebutter Inn as our favorite B&B in Vermont, perhaps anywhere for that matter. Barbara and Michael have a quietly friendly New England style of hospitality (even though they were New Yorkers in a different life), and the comfortable quality of their home makes staying there a...

We have been to the Applebutter in many times and each time we feel like we our welcomed by Barbara & Michael as cherished friends. Cameo is our favorite room but all of the rooms are beautifully decorated and comfortable. The breakfasts are a 3 course meal and easily the bet breakfast I have ever had at a B &...

The Innkeepers, Barbara & Michael, are wonderful hosts. The Inn is tastefully decorated but at the same time cozy. The flower gardens are beautiful. Breakfast is delicious and varied. The Applebutter Inn is one of the nicest B&B's we've ever stayed in, from New England to California.
