For the past few years my friends and I have been lucky enough to facilitate a retreat weekend at MRB. Heather and Andrew, the owners, are so delightful, warm and welcoming, we were made to feel at home at once. Their clever use of recycled materials from the old barn while maintaining a spotlessly restored establishment is pretty darn impressive!... More

We stayed here for a wedding in town. The owners were so hospitable and the hotel was so unique. Our room was quite and off the main building. We hope to return without children in the future to take advantage of the family friendliness of this hotel. Great experience!

It's this simple. Food Great! Place beautiful! The woman owner was rude and controlling. She argued with guests because she wanted a noise restriction at a wedding reception. She continued to stalk the guests if they touched the music and when she marched over the last time she only decided to be cordial but only because the bride was touching... More

We stayed at Mad River Inn this past week and really enjoyed our stay. First of all the location is very picturesque just off of route 100 and the inn is separate from the town of Waitsfield. We visited during peak foliage so of course this made it extra special. Every member of the staff was very friendly and attentive.... More

We had a great stay at the Mad River Barn Inn over Columbus Day weekend. The staff was incredibly friendly, the room was adorable and very clean, and the breakfast was fantastic (fresh coffee/juices and buffet of French toast, eggs, fruit, etc). Would definitely recommend to anyone looking to spend a few nights in the Waitsfield area!

We stayed in the Barn. Our room was beautifully decorated and the Queen bed was very comfortable! The place was warm and inviting and well-kept. The onsite restaurant for dinner was convenient and the food was fabulous! The grounds are wonderfully maintained and we enjoyed a nice morning walk with our coffee. Our breakfast was great and the menu had... More

I stayed here for 2 nights with my family and we could be more delighted! The staff was very friendly and accommodating, and had some great suggestions for things to see and places to eat. The rooms are clean and beautifully decorated. I will definitely be staying here again next time I'm in the area.

Absolutely amazing! We stayed here for 2 nights in our trip to Vermont, and had a wonderful experience. All of the staff are very friendly and helpful. The decor is fantastic and there is always something interesting to look at. The autumn leaves didn't hurt in creating his idyllic setting. By far the best place I've stayed at on vacation.

When I first booked my two day stay at the Mad River Barn I had high expectations. I read several reviews that cautioned travelers from staying at Stowe during the Peak foliage season. Most of the reviews focused on how busy it will be to move in and about Stowe. After visiting both areas, Stowe and Waitsfield I regret deeply... More
