My girlfriend and I have now stayed at the Mad River Inn twice, and we'll certainly be returning for a third time in the near future. Beautiful home, welcoming atmosphere, delicious food, and friendly hosts. Highly recommend!

My boyfriend and I were caught in a blizzard in VT. When we called to book a last minute Luc was very friendly and happy to book a room for us. The homemade cookies that were there when we arrived were delicious. What really made the stay special was the level of detail put in to every part of the...

This is our go-to inn when staying in the Mad River Valley. Luc and his family are wonderful hosts, making every stay a real pleasure. Bedrooms and common areas are exceptionally clean and comfortable, which is very important to us. Homemade breakfasts with muffins, fruit, and main course are absolutely delicious (we love the crepes). The roaring fire and afternoon...

Tired of staying at inns that advertise the personal touch but in fact are a sub corporation of--well--a corporation? The Mad River Inn is where you need to be! This place is the real deal. The location is excellent, whether you're in town to ski or enjoy the Vermont vibe. And the host? The real owner, my friend, not some...

My husband and I stayed here for less than 12 hours! We were driving up from Boston, MA and wanted to stay here 1 nigh to ski Sugar bush the next day. Luke was very friendly over the phone when I called to say we would be there past 9pm. When we arrived there was plenty of light and a...

My husband and I stayed here over New Years, and were really impressed with Mad River Inn. After a long day of skiing, we came back to a cozy living room with comfortable couch overlooking a roaring fire. We spent an hour or so enjoying the fire and eating a few complimentary homemade cookies--definitely a nice touch. The bedrooms are...

Very nice clean inn and friendly inn keepers! Very nice breakfasts with excellent coffee early! Nice family and farm atmosphere. Very close to Ben and jerry's and Montpelier. Excellent for covered bridge explorations and very close to route 89.

Luc and Karen made everyone in our horseback riding tour group (at the Vermont Icelandic Horse Farm) feel special and welcome at the inn. Luc's breakfasts are carefully prepared and beautifully presented. The coffee flows, and conversation is easy. The downstairs common room with bar, TV and pool table got good use from our group. The fridge for our use...

My wife and I spent 4 days at the Mad River Inn last week and could not have been more pleased with our stay! The room was clean and welcoming, the bed was super comfortable, and the breakfasts each day were amazing. My wife has certain food allergies and traveling can present challenges but no issues here. We'd advised Luc,...

Only stayed one night at the Inn but it was a perfect stopping off place travelling along route 100. The scenery is beautiful and will be more so in the fall. This would also be a perfect location for the skiing resorts. The bedroom was clean and comfortable with an ensuite bathroom. When we arrived at the Inn, Luc, wasn't...
