One of our favorite places to have a get away from the city. Both of us being from Boston love to get away from the hustle and bustle and relax in the woods. Not having cell service and not TV in our room has really broaden our horizons to meeting and talking to new people! We always meet the coolest...

We had an amazing weekend at Grunberg Haus and cannot wait to return for the ski season. Very true-to-style Tyrolean architecture in the mountains made it feel like the Austrian Alps. New inn owners Duane and Leah have found their calling. From a warm welcome at our car to building a fire so our kids could make s'mores, they were...

Booked two nights to celebrate my wife's Birthday. We planned to get up early and hike Camel's Hump. On vacation we either camp or do the B&B thing. We're not hard to please, but this place was not good at all. We booked Room 3, which is located above the fireplace room. Noise from the downstairs was so loud it...

I'm sorry for your experience. We had a couple military families on break celebrating Veterans Day, and we opened up the living room to them to have a fire and spend the evening together. We normally ask for a curfew of 10pm, but I failed to suggest the curfew to them. As new owners, we were unaware of how the...

We found The Grunberg Haus in a chance search for BnB's in the Waterbury area. We stayed for a night in the beautiful rustic inn nestled in a small forest and the room was absolutely immaculate. Décor of the house was absolutely awesome - a great mix of new and old. The new owners were absolutely wonderful. Welcoming hosts that...

My daughter and I stayed in the Chris suite and it was so cozy with its own fireplace! I would recommend this lovely B & B to anyone; Duane and Leah are awesome hosts! I plan to go back sometime - hopefully sooner rather than later. Leah makes delicious breakfasts and they serve really good coffee. A great way to...

We were there over the weekend and had a great time. The owners were personable and friendly. They made sure to spend time with the guests and offer any services they could. Breakfast was delicious. We'd definitely come back again!

I simply loved this place. Outside of the house is very lovely, hidden from the road, around by the woods, quite, very good privacy. Inside of the house is even more lovely. The lounge, game rooms, TV room and dinning room are all very cozy and inviting. Each room has its own nice deco. I visited all the available guest...

I was really nervous to try a B&B for the first time. I'm so glad I did! This place is very unique, a lot of culture and sports themes throughout. It's very rustic, but the new owners are in the process of upgrading. It's character doesn't take away from the comfort, however. Clean and homey, with Inn keepers who let...

My husband and I spent 2 nights here on our honeymoon a few weeks back and had only great things to say about the property as well as the owners, Duane and Leah! The breakfast was amazing and Leah was welcoming and accomodating. We stayed in the green cabin with our dog which was private and cozy. We loved the...

We stayed at the Grunberg for four nights because I had booked late for the season and they were one of the few B&Bs that had two affordable rooms still available. We stay in B&Bs whenever we can and Duane and Lia are simply the nicest owners that we have met. They made us feel like true friends. The house...
