This motel was not our first choice. However we had trouble booking the place in Bennington when there was a misunderstanding and then the place in Bennington tried to charge us a $50 cancellation fee just moments after we had asked about a room. We are so glad we ended up at the Viking motel. When we arrived in the...

Attended the Garcia Project concert at Memorial Hall on Sept 12, and the Motel was only 1/2 a mile form the Hall and downtown Wilmington. Although the units are dated everything is clean and comfortable. A minor issue is being the building is older there is not enough electrical outlets for all of the electrical items provided in the unit,...

The room was clean and decent and the bed was fairly comfortable, however, the heat was on all night long on a fairly warm night and we could not turn it off because it's controlled by the owner. This was after a 90 degree day and the temp that night was around 58 degrees. I had the AC on hoping...

From the outside, the Viking Motel looked pleasant. There were nice picnic areas, the motel itself had character, and the lobby was cozy and unique. However, my family of 4 adults (ages 19-50), did not enjoy our stay. There were two double beds which slept horribly. Every time the person next to you breathed deeply, the bed would tremble. Rolling...

Very clean, rustic, close to restaurants and pubs, flea markets, shopping and nature walks. Owners are amazing and the Viking Motel is dog friendly. Perfect for mini getaway. Very relaxing atmosphere. Favorite place to lodge when visiting Vermont.

A friend mentioned the Viking and we called ahead and reserved a room for three. When we arrived we were checked in quickly, the owners are on site and both very friendly. The room appeared to be new, with all the furnishings in perfect condition, not used looking. We felt as if we had a room in a relatives house,...

The extremely nice owners helped us to relocate here after a bad hotel experience. We went in, told them our story, and they helped by accommodating four of us that night through the rest of our trip. Our two double bed room was quaint and super comfy. The motel is in the perfect location. Walking distance to convenience, gas, beer,...

Really nothing special about this motel. Cleaner than many, but not especially quiet (Why do desk clerks put the only 3 guests in the place right next to each other? How about leaving space between occupied rooms?), Rather unassuming accommodations, including a microwave and refrigerator. No desk, plenty of outlets, easy wi-fi connection, towels on the thin side, no shampoo,...
