We stayed this past weekend at the Main Street Inn with our granddaughter on a social visit. We had a king suite, which had a king bed and a sofa sleeper in the sitting area. The hotel is very near the campus and has a lot of restaurants close by. The room itself was rather small for 3 adults. It...

Yes our location is awesome with dining, arts, and shopping a short walk away. I was surprised that your mattress was not to your liking. Our bedding is among one of our number one compliments. We will certainly check on the other issues you had with our room and make corrections.

My teen and I stayed at Main St Inn when visiting VA Tech campus. The queen suite was perfect for us. She slept on a fold-out sofa, and we each had some space of our own. Room was pristine. And, the linens were really comfy. Halls were very quiet. The Inn is very close to Tech and also many fun...

Nothing better than Mother-Daughter time together. So glad you found our Inn Clean, Convenient, and Quiet. You are correct ... our location is excellent. Hoping you will be able to have another get away in the near future.

Clean with all of the necessary amenities. Be aware that you may have a short walk to parking...It was cold and rainy for my visit. Great central location for a visit to VT. Only complaint (in case hotel gets this): coffee cup lids don't fit...Your supplier messed up...Made for a sloppy schlep to the parking garage and to the room.

Thank you for your review. Your feed back is very important to us. New lids have been ordered :) Our on site parking is limited, however our off-site parking is directly across the street. I believe you'll find that the larger properties with on site parking, in most cases the walk will be further from door to door. While we...

Stayed at the Inn during a family visit. Cozy and convenient, walking distance to most places (breakfast, coffee, dinner, drinks). Pull out sofa mattress needs replaced but sitting room had a refrigerator and TV separate from the bedroom. Front desk staff seem "bothered" upon check-in/check-out.

So glad you chose Main Street Inn for your accommodations during your recent stay in Blacksburg. We appreciate your review and take all to heart for future improvements. Our front desk staff is usually very accommodating and I do apologize if your experience was less than it should be. Hope to have you as our guests again in the near...

As one can see from a map, it is very convenient to VT. It is pleasant, well-appointed, clean and tidy. Now here are the negatives: price apparently is based entirely on location, no breakfast and the Keurigs both ran out of water often in the morning, single/small and extremely slow elevator, poor parking set-up as only a few can actually...

In town for two nights. Excellent location a few blocks from campus, across from Starbucks and next to Cabo. Booked a suite-a bit disappointed in the size of the room. With pullout sofa-not much room to move. Sound insulation was poor- could clearly hear TV next door through the wall. Enjoyed lobby area with TV, well- stocked Kureig coffee bar,...

Yes ... Starbucks, Cabo Fish Taco and Mellow Mushroom all less than a block away. Glad you were able to enjoy our lobby with all its treats and the warm fireplace. During your next visit, should loud noise travel from the room next door, please let the front desk know so they can assist.

Fantastic place to stay, clean, cozy, stylish and convenient. I can't find anything negative to say about this place. I loved the hospitality of the coffee machines and snacks, easy walk to anywhere you need to go. If you are up to the mile walk to Famous Anthony's like we were then you can park in the covered parking and not...

Was in town for a gig. As a traveling musician, I have seen the good and the bad, and this place is definitely good. Decent beds, good water pressure. Staff helpful. All my other colleagues (group of 13) said the same thing.

Since I grew up in Blacksburg I know the town well but I had not been back in about 20 years and as they say the more things change the more they change. Took a chance staying at Main Street inn. Normally opt for the tired and true mega chains with "free breakfast" but every now and then try something...

Very nice suite layout. Separated rooms with bedroom and living room. Sofa bed in the living room. Two separate sinks with mirrors. In room microwave and refrigerator. Covered parking. Directly across the street from a Starbucks. So very near campus and dining that you probably will not need your car.

oldhokie, Owner at Main Street Inn, responded to this review

You're correct. Once you park your car, you may never need it again. The main gate of Lane Coliseums is .5 miles away. Virginia Tech Performing Arts Center is .5 miles away. Let's not forget all the shops and restaurants you pass along the way. Thank you for your review!
