Just enjoyed a brief stay at the Inn at Court Square. Quietly run, unpretentious, yet full of genuine charm and warmth, the Inn is old fashioned hospitality at its best. If you want to touch the past in the historic city of Charlottesville, this is a great base - very centrally located with parking behind, and a warm smile, complimentary...

Candace has created a warm and welcoming inn that honors its history, yet is comfortable for today. She has beautifully restored the home, paying attention to the large and small details, and period-appropriate furniture only adds to the experience. A variety of rooms and rates will appeal to many budgets; while I was intending to stay in the lowest-priced room,...

I stayed here for a night and was very impressed with both the hotel itself and the staff. The owner is clearly passionate about the building and the interior designs. The antique furniture and attention to detail create a sense that you are almost in someone's home, not just a hotel. It reminds me of a period English B&B. Due...

I wanted to give this a five but everything came with a "but" Room was large and bed comfortable, but there are too many pieces of furniture in the room, it felt crowded. (Stayed in the Edward Butler.) We partially rented the room because of the bathtub and the Jacuzzi feature did not work. The room faced the the Square...

On a last minute trip to the Barboursville Vineyard and Montpelier, we decided to stay in downtown Charlottesville. The inn is about a 2 min walk to an amazing selection of eclectic restaurants at the outdoor 'mall' and also overlooks the historic park on Courthouse Square. I found our room to be very cozy, quiet, clean, and well-appointed with funky...

While we live in Charlottesville, we wanted to "get away" for our 25th wedding anniversary. The Inn at Court Square provided just what we needed. Our lovely room sported a nice view of the square. The Inn is located right off of the downtown mall which makes it close to many good and varied restaurants. We were made to feel...

I've traveled extensively for years but have never had a nicer welcome than at the Inn at Court Square. Arriving after a rough day, I was treated with kindness and warm hospitality. The rooms are beautiful, the sheets wonderfully soft, the bath amenities top-notch. Combined with the hospitality of the innkeeper and the delicious breakfast, I can't wait to come...

Highly recommended to me by a friend who lives in Charlottesville, The Inn at Court Square surpassed my expectations. My 80-ish parents and I had two rooms for one evening on a visit to Charlottesville and Thomas Jefferson's Monticello. The beautifully restored historic home was tastefully appointed, featuring cozy, welcoming common areas and truly lovely bedrooms. High ceilings, gorgeous antiques...

Charming B&B, very well decorated. Complimentary glass of wine in the room's sitting area was a welcome treat at the end of the day. Staff seemed new on the job and not therefore very well informed, but were certainly enthusiastic.

My husband and I stayed at the Inn at Court Square in March 2014. We called last-minute (two days prior) to find a reservation for a single night. We were fortunate enough to stay in the Opie Norris room, which was exceptional. I loved the character of the house. I found that having the individual keys for the house made...
