Well appointed rooms, clean and comfortable, our family stayed in a dozen rooms and very satisfied! We had adjoining rooms with our kids which made it festive and easy. Nice gathering courtyard in the newer mews section of the hotel. Disappointing breakfast buffet, but very good bagels just next door. Cookies and coffee/tea at 4 is nice touch. Best part...

We love this hotel. It is so unique compared to all of the chain hotels! The breakfast is one of the best I have ever had at a hotel and the staff is super nice. Every day they have high tea and cookies! They are in the process of renovating but you can barely tell. Each day we are asked...

I booked this hotel as part of a birthday present for my dad. The whole reservation process was very smooth and when I contacted them later to be sure everything would be set for my parents to check-in even though it was reserved under my name, the manager went above and beyond, upgrading the room choice and sending a personalized...

I recently stayed at this lovely hotel while attending a wedding in Charlottesville. I was favorably impressed with the staff, rooms, indoor swimming pool and convenient location of this hotel as well as the breakfast and afternoon tea.

The English Inn is one of the last independently owned hotels in Charlottesville and it shows! The check-in staff are great, the rooms are beyond comfortable, (LOVE the King mini Suite - a nice living area, nifty kitchen, and fantastic bedroom - incredible value). The breakfast (included in the price) is far superior to any chain hotel "breakfast." And, it...

Very nice hotel - Rooms nicely decorated and clean - good breakfast - friendly staff. I was on a bus trip so there was no choice about staying at the English Inn, but, if I am in Charlottesville in the future, this is where I want to stay!

I recently stayed at the English Inn in Charlottesville while attending a local graduation and have stayed at this hotel many times since 2001 when we were looking at colleges. We are from New Jersey and my son ultimately attended UVa so our family returned to Charlottesville many times in the five years he was there working on two degrees....

We visit the Charlottesville area quite often and always choose to stay at the English Inn. The rooms are comfortable and clean. The staff is friendly and welcoming too. We especially enjoy the indoor pool, delicious breakfasts, and the afternoon tea and cookies! We recommend the English Inn to all!

Stayed here a number of times and always impressed. Friendly staff, good value, clean rooms and comfortable lobby in which to sit and relax. Excellent breakfasts in the morning. Nice to stay in an independent rather than one of the chains.

We go to Charlottesville often to hang out . We always say at The English Inn. The Inn is beautiful and very well maintained. Staff goes above and beyond to make your stay comfortable. This past Saturday our room had a few small issues that we just wanted to alert the staff of. Not complaining at all but they sent...
