I stayed for 4 nights and really it was so good, very kind staff-especially Jesse at the front desk-thank you so much for going out of your way to make my stay comfortable-they offered me a shuttle ride to another hotel that I had a conference at-that is so kind-good hot breakfast-wish all hotels can be like that!

We used to love this hotel, but our experience last weekend was very different from previous visits. The room was adequate, but the hotel staff was less than helpful, and at times even rude. We were supposed to have received gift bags for the wedding we attended, but apparently the staff could never find them. I left something in our...

We first stayed at The English Inn three years ago when they donated us a room for over a week. Our daughter was having surgery and the Ronald McDonald House was full. They routinely do this but don't toot their own horn because it is part of their mission statement to help families with children in the hospital. The staff...

Passing through Charlottesville and found the English Inn. It is a wonderful place to stay -- great staff, wonderful room (I was fortunate enough to snag a room in the Mews), and a really first-class breakfast buffet. Despite being close to the highway, the room was very quiet. Will be my choice of a place to stay in Charlottesville for...

The English Inn is the best hotel in town. It is the only independent hotel around. And it is Great! Clean, FRIENDLY, and has such a warm and cozy lobby. The beds are very clean and comfortable. The rooms are great. I never hear my neighbors making any noise. I have stayed here 4 times and will not stay anywhere...

There are fancier places to stay in this area, but if you are looking for a base for visiting area attractions this hotel is a good bet. The rooms are like a typical hotel, but they were clean and adequate. The indoor pool was nice, as there were summer afternoon rains, and we could have a swim after a busy...

We came for a baseball tournament weekend. The place was very clean and the staff was very friendly. They even called us after we were in the room for about 15 minutes and asked if everything was acceptable. What a pleasant surprise to get a follow up phone call. The boys enjoyed the pool. Breakfast was very nice. Afternoon tea,...

Nice location. Building outside pretty. Looks like updated within last couple of years. Facilities very clean. Hot water did not work one of 2 days. Wallpaper torn. Had to call for TV remote. Breakfast good. Good size room. Door had to be forced to close. Just enough aggravating items to rate a 3
