The room was nice & clean. I liked the proximity to the university. We were there for a college visit. Easy walk to campus and parking on site. Staff was helpful and courteous. Not a lot of bells and whistles, but worth the price.

Clean, cozy updated and comfortable room with a nice view. Saw our first groundhog! We would stay there again in a moment. Pleasant experience with competent people. They have a dining room. but we didn’t use it.

Not expensive, comfortable enough; free breakfast and close to UVa- across the street. Even free parking. Clean and the check-in staff was knowledgeable of the area. UVa is planning on tearing it down soon.Gone soon.

How far is it to the town center (bars & clubs) if walking?
15 minutes to The Corner where there are quite a few restaurants and bars. 40 minutes to the Downtown Mall, a pedestrian area with lots of restaurants, bars and shopping. There's also a free trolley service that takes you from The Corner area to the Downtown Mall, just Google Charlottesville Free Trolley for the schedule and map.
