I always look at reviews, don't know why I failed to do it this time, but wish I had. Four night stay, I bet there were no less than 50 flies in our room. When I checked in, asked for an extra key since we had another couple with us. Was told they only have one and if someone needs the key they can come to the office and he will give them a key.......they are never in the office so glad we didn't have to use that service. Also, on checkout day, door was open, but no one inside and we said HELLO, because there is a door that says staff only or something. No one came out, so we put key in basket and took a picture of it. I think they don't want to hear complaints so they don't show their face on check out day. When we walked in to our room the firs time, on the AC unit was a fly swatter. The beds: One of them sounded like an elephant passing gas every time someone turned over. Pillows flat as pancakes, glad I took my own. I always take the spreads off no matter how nice the place is because they are not laundered after each stay. The "blanket" they have on bed looked like they went to fabric store, bought a bolt of material and cut it for each bed. Mini Fridge: The freezer part mostly iced up, but we were able to use for some stuff. Microwave worked, didn't use coffee pot, I always take a small pot that does K cups. Oh, forgot entry door.....space under it was probably 1/4 inch, we used a towel every time we were in the room thinking maybe flies were coming in that way. Bathroom: No really any complaints there, other than since they were not cleaning the rooms during the stay because of Covid, they could at least check every day for toilet paper. Mr. T in office had told us put dirty towels out on chair and they would put fresh ones on there, but didn't say we need to put empty toilet paper roll out, so we had to call for that, but the young man that brought that was very nice. The last night we had to use kleenex. Internet: Don't count on it Pool: It was used by someone in our room and said it was clean. There are two outside small buildings with picnic tables, they are gross also. I don't there there has been any up keep at this place in years and the "owners" just want to bring in money and not fix anything. They could take the time to freshen the flower beds, even if you just dig it all up and just put mulch down it would look better they 3-4 ft weeds I checked that they do have BBQ grills here, but I sure wouldn't use them

Our room was so filthy that we had to leave. The owner promised to refund the money for our unused days, but after we left he will not return phone calls, emails, or hotel.com requests. Flies everywhere, filth on the carpet so thick that we had to put towels down just so our feet would not get black. The breakfast room was infested with flies, rotten fruit, and milk sitting in melted ice. I have never seen anything like it in all of my travels. Mr. T., the owner, told us to buy fly strips, and that he would give us clean blankets to leave on the carpet! Don't believe the positive reviews, there is no way they can be true. -Karen Schwarzl, Pittsburgh PA

One of the worst places we ever stayed at , if not the worse. It puzzles me who and why writes a positive review of this place ? A nasty redhead at the reception showed us "our" room. A dog wouldn't probably want to stay in it. Slightly better room costed us $50 extra in cash. That's an old trick that some unscrupulous hotel owners practice, especially in prepaid reservations . The "superior" room was infested with flies, no internet, the floor was puckled up, the air conditioner as noisy as an idling tractor. The reception is almost permanently locked. You have to call to speak to someone (if you're lucky). The "pool" outside was about half of the size shown on pictures with the water so dirty that frogs would not want to swim there. The bautiful "pier" that is shown is really accross the street, rundown and scary to walk on. The mosquitos will eat you alive over there. After one sleepless night (out of three prepaid) we were happy to leave this dump and run to another hotel. . Be cautious. Do not make the mistake we did. Better sleep on the beach or on a park bench. Good luck.

I will return because of the staff. Ty was very nice and helped me with my laundry and anything else that I needed. The rooms were dated but very clean. And not one fly, so I have no idea what other people are talking about. The private pier was very nice to fish off of and watch the sunset from. Enjoy, Melissa

Carpeting was so old and dirty we had to keep socks or shoes on. Infested with flies and fruit flies. Most rooms came with a flyswatter!!!! Ours didnt...... Furniture is from 1960. "Continental breakfast" was bananas, apples, mini muffins, bagels and 2 choices of cereal- in a space as big as a closet. Because of COVID supposedly, housekeeping didnt enter the rooms after checkin- you were to put your used towels on the broken plastic chairs outside the room and new ones would be delivered. Anything else you had to run down a housekeeper or Ty (who was wonderful) to get other necessities. The grab bar in the bathroom was missing.- just gaping holes. The dock was across the street and dangerous- narrow with only rope on one side. Wifi sucked- very little if any service. The "pavilions" advertised were shacks with torn screens and broken screen doors. We had noisy, rude neighbors- running up and down the porch til 2 am- loud talking and laughing outside our door. Office closes at 8 p,m. so there isnt anyone to address idiots like that! We had a kitchenette but there wasnt anything in it- usually there are plates, cups, pots, etc. Nothing. But no where does it tell you that on any of the sites..... If I could give negative stars/points I would! AND we still paid over $200/night!
