A delightful family-owned hotel. We stay here once or twice a year to get away!! I would never look elsewhere on the island. Rooms are clean - recently renovated. Every one is different which adds to the charm. Beds are excellent. Continental breakfast is simple but in a cozy well-lit room off of the lobby. Extra amenities, e.g. pool and...

Me and my girlfriend fell in love with the room the moment we saw it. Everyone was so friendly and nice that it was hard not to relax. The gift shop was cute and the room was everything we wanted! It was the best time of our vacation!

My husband, two adult children and I slept comfortably in the Veranda Suite for a family get-together weekend. The suite is an apartment with full kitchen, small upstairs loft, pull-out couch and plenty of room. It is well-appointed and has a huge porch and a small private one off of the master bedroom. My brother and sister-in-law were in a...

We were very pleased with our stay at the Refuge Inn. The room was lovely, clean, pretty, well maintained with lots of nice touches. It had a small balcony with chairs, two big comfy chairs in the room and a small table with two chairs. The bath was small but had a nice heat lamp, deep tub and decent towels....

We were in to see the snow geese and past experience dictated that we stay at the Refuge. We had a king bed room on the second floor overlooking the trees and picnic tables. The view was nothing to write home about, but it was pleasant and quiet. The room had a charming decor and the bedding was comfortable with...

We are return guests and have been staying at the Refuge Inn since 2002. It definitely is "home away from home" Staff is friendly, almost like family. They go out of their way to accommodate you. Rooms are always very clean and comfortable. Good breakfast. Great hot tub and pool. We love how the rooms are decorated and the quiet...

We had a great trip to The Refuge Inn. It was our first time in Chinocoteague and we can't wait to return to both the island and the Refuge Inn. It's beautiful and clean. Highly recommend a trip to see the Nature Refuge and the Inn is so close to the park

I moved to the Refuge Inn for my 3rd night on Chincoteague and enjoyed a very peaceful night. The room was charmingly decorated and it was so nice and quiet. There was a nice selection of food available for breakfast. The inn is very conveniently located for anyone wanting to drive Beach Road looking for wild ponies and birds.

Weirdest hotel room I have ever stayed. It seemed to be the only room in the place that had closet sinstead of night stands, with the bed crammed in between them. "Built-ins" I suppose. Incredibly inconvenient. Also, the soundproofing was non-existant. The housekeeping staff started around 8:00 or 9:00 a.m., and seemed to need to yell to each other in...

The staff at Refuge inn is just amazing. I felt like I was at home during my 2 day stay. I definitely recommend staying here with the family and enjoy the indoor pool, sauna, bikes and my daughter enjoyed feeding the ponies. -Luis
