Although this Inn is not on the water or have a water view, we found it to be comfortable. The upside was the outdoor screened community kitchen which we enjoyed for a BBQ meal. It is a older building but the room was a nice size for a two double bed. There were cornhole games and a volley ball net. I am not sure if they supplied the volley ball since we did not use it. It was a short walk from the Island Creamery which should not be missed. The downside was the noise from the units above, it was three levels without an elevator and the toilet and bathtub are in a very, very small space. It was reasonably priced as compared to other lodging on the island.
We had a Groupon & email confirmation but when we got there they didn’t have our reservation. They had vacancy but made us repay the current rate for that day anyway if we wanted to stay. The room was very outdated, the carpet was gross, and you couldn’t be in the bathroom & close the door at the same because it was so small. We have stayed at several different places in Chincoteague and definitely will NOT stay here again.
Check in was very easy, plenty of extra parking in the grassy lot nearby if needed. Very friendly staff. The only issue we had was being on the top floor with no elevator, so if this could be an issue for your stay be sure to mention it when booking. It didn't really affect us but could be a deal breaker for others. You can't beat the location. It's a bit outdated but we found it charming and the beds were VERY comfortable. AC worked well too!
I've stayed here frequently and love the staff. It's also a great location and the rooms all have mini fridges and microwaves. More recently, the staff worked hard to give me a credit despite no cancellation policy. The weather turned stormy all of a sudden, and they went out of their way to work out a compromise. Plenty of parking and nice sunny pool.
Hotel room was same as always. Ms. Katherine was welcoming and immediately recognized us as returning guests. Room was great for 3 adult fisherman. We fished allday and used room for sleep and shower. Same room for the last 3 yrs. We may upgrade to the Premium room next year as it was VERY nice when Ms. Katherine opened it to allow me to send pics for my brother to see it and decide to come down the following week. Fresh towels everyday, clean floors and low noise. Parking was fine for us. Pool was refreshing after being on boat for 14 hrs. Shower had great pressure, slight temp fluctuation, but nothing shocking for price. We will book again next year and enjoy it all over again. The pavilion was nice with most places doing carryout. The free commercial ice machine was great for our 5 coolers of fish and daily for snacks and beer on the boat. Outside areas were kept clean and no musty smell in our room. Looking forward to our 2021 trip. And as stated before, we will be getting a premium room. I will try to attach a pic or two of the premium room as it was really well done and looked very nice!!!…
