Our first trip, but wife and I thought it deserves a Forbes 5 rating for food, accommodations and Pete Dye Golf. Its a 48 room restored mansion that is like Greenbrier used to be, but with finer service and hospitality. From the moment we were cleared through the gate, Trevor in guest services, Lisa, Marilyn, Angel and Joseph the golf...

This is one of my favorite hotels in the USA. It doesn't get much more charming and memorable than this. Excellent rooms, service, location, views, golf course, dining, pool(s). Pair your stay with a trip into nearby Charlottesville and you will have a fantastic western Virginia stay.

First of all, the good: this property is nestled in the rolling hills of Virginia and beautifully situated on a hill overlooking a grand golf course. Make sure to ask for a golf course facing room. The American Express package is wonderful and gives you free breakfast, room upgrade and resort credit. The staff is VERY friendly, helpful and professional....

We were at Keswick on a rainy weekend but loved to stay inside to enjoy the luxurious and atmospheric lobby hall and other public rooms. Nice books, great sitting area in front of the chimney. The reception was very warm and welcoming, more private than in a usual hotel. Breakfast was great and with very good service as well. There...

I loved this hotel! It is absolutely stunningly inside and out. The views of the golf course from the back of the hotel are breathtaking. The pool is gorgeous. Our room was beautifully decorated and flawlessly clean. The bathroom was spacious and modern (my only complaint would be the slippery tile on the shower floor). The service was excellent. Every...

I had not stayed here for years and wondered how it would be now that it was no longer an Orient Express property. Well, just fine, thank you very much ! It truly is a lovely escape at which to spend a few days. Very nicely decorated ( holder over from the Laura Ashley owned days perhaps) and very friendly...

Usually when I stay in a very expensive hotel and pay top dollar, I don't come out feeling like it was worth it. This was definitely the exception. The property is beautiful and perfectly appointed the way you would expect a Virginia estate to be. Classy but not stuffy. Everything about the place was well thought out. Gorgeous fresh flower...

From the moment we arrived we were welcomed and sat at a desk to register and ask any questions we might have on the hotels services. There was ice tea and cookies available which are laid out every day and made us feel very welcome and at home. Once we got into our rooms we realized we had been upgraded....

The hotel is beautiful but the service truly sets it apart. Stayed in a king room adjoining suite with our 3 kids for our spring break...The room was beautiful, updated and very comfortable with stunning views of the property. The staff was incredibly helpful and friendly. We visited Monticello and downtown Charlottesville and the staff had wonderful recommendations. Loved the...
