This place is very quiet, away from main city, nice greenery around. The rooms inside hotel are small but enough for need of a person. Hotel doesn't provide any room service. The place is huge in area and locating your room, restaurant is a fun. First two days everyone in my group used to struggle to locate room, restaurant, but...

The staff was great giving you direction to get around this large compound of a building. The rooms are very small, there are no refrigerators or microwaves in the rooms. After taken two steps in my room, I could see everything in the whole room. I would not suggest this place to stay unless it was your very last option....

This hotel has the best breakfast and meals than any hotel I have ever been to. Rooms are small but very clean. I only ask them to include a microwave and refrigerators in the rooms. Overall it's a very good hotel to stay in . It's huge though.

I was a little worried after reading the reviews. I expected a "jail cell" sized room, but it actually was nice - perfect for one person. Think of it as a scaled down guest room in an average hotel. I had a double bed and a desk, a full bathroom with shower and an open closet rack. This is a...

Thank you, Steve S, for this great input. You’ve got the right attitude and you get us! We are NOT a hotel or a resort; we are a learning and development center with all the comforts you need and our staff is happy to help if we’ve forgotten something. Thank you again for posting this on TripAdvisor.

I always think of myself as a Runner from movie Logan's Run when I'm here...post-apocalyptic concrete sarcophagus...that I can't get out of...with really good food. Conference center is built for meetings not for hanging in your room. Confusing layout! I get lost every time. 10 years ago there were no phones or TVs in rooms, so that is better. Rooms...

Dear No T, Yes, we do get our exercise here at The National and most guests tell us it’s a great way to work off the wonderful meals, 3 times a day. Just so you know, we have just updated our TVs in the rooms and have expanded our wireless network to improve our guests’ experience. Thank you for the...

The staff universally bent-over-backwards to make everything perfect. Conference facilities were superb. My guest room was spacious and comfortable. (Although, I understand some rooms are smaller.) Dining room was amazing. Food was fresh and delicious. The variety was astounding. (Navigating/walking distances in-house can be daunting, at first.)

Wow! Thank you, JoySeminars, for this great review. We are delighted that your meeting went well and your guests were happy. But most importantly, thank you for sharing this on Social Media and letting your colleagues know of the fine work we do here at The National. Hope to see you again soon.

Attended a three-day conference where we met, ate, and stayed at the National Conference Center. The rooms reminded me of college dorm rooms in that they were small, but were adequate. The food was excellent and reminded me of a cruise ship in that I completely over-ate. The conference space was very cold in the plenary sessions, and very warm...

Thank you, Debbi L, for your 5 star rating. The sleeping rooms, although they are small, are comfortable and have all the amenities guests need. Our food program is hitting it out of the park every day and the comments continue to be good. Each meeting room has its own thermostat so we could have adjusted the air in the...

Rooms and amenities are difficult to find. Rooms are small. Some had refrigerators and one a microwave, but mine did not. The room between the corner wall and the bed was so small it was difficult to get your luggage out from the doorway. If there had been a fire, I'm not sure I could of found the nearest exit...

Thank you, Kris V, for your comments. We will look into your comment re: the Black Olive. We hope that you had a safe journey home…..and hope that we will see you soon.

I hated this place. A huge concrete mess. Room was so small that if you take more than three steps you'll run into something. I nearly killed myself stepping out of the shower--it's elevated but not in a good way. Gym was good size but everything is so spread out it would take ten minutes just to find it. Totally...

JoHoSeattle: Your comments are very personal. The National is a conference center, not a hotel. And as previous reviews stated, the rooms are small for a reason; we are about getting people out of their rooms to socialize, discuss and collaborate. Our guests are on a schedule and their meal times are set according to the planners’ request and yes,...

So I'm told this is an old government bunker that is now owned by Verizon. Can't verify but that's what I'm told. The staff are really nice. The facilities are a little primitive. My room is very small (ok for me). Water pressure great. Hot water great. AC works great. My favorite part is you can actually open up the...

Dear NWA: Thank you for taking time to post your thoughts here. I think we can set you straight on the history of the building. No, it was never a government building, it does have a long history as a Xerox training facility and it is now privately owned, but not by Verizon. Verizon is one of our clients, along...
