We have eaten often at the Inn and always had excellent food and drink. This visit we were able to stay overnight and the rooms are just lovely and beautifully restored. It was a delightful experience complete with a very pleasant breakfast. We recommend it highly!

There were four of us. We ordered crab cake appetizers, three to a plate, they were delicious. For the main course, two of us ordered the filet and scallops. My filet was perfectly cooked, tender and flavorful. The scallops were delicate, not over cooked and a good size (three of them). The portions were appropriate, not stuffed, but full after...

I had dinner with my Boss the other night and was not disappointed. He also enjoyed the meal as well. My boss had the fish special, which he said was excellent. My meal was shrimp and grits which was very good as well. The overall experience was super, I would highly recommend.

This is an old historic building and we love that sort of thing. Always stay there when in Lexington. Friendly and accommodating. No elevator though. Breakfast provided. There is a bar where we could meet with friends. Had a great time there as always.

We came off the Blue Ridge Parkway to 7PM , looking for a comfortable place for the night. We came across this 12-room inn as we were tooling around Lexington. They had one room left, which the manager kindly discounted. Nondescript from the outside, the place had a distinctly colonial feel inside. It was clean well-kept, and quaint. The staff...

We've now stayed at the Sheridan Livery Inn twice, two nights each time in the large two room king suite with balcony. The location and rate just can't be beat. Once you park and check in you can walk almost any place you want to go. Pros: free WIFI, small mini fridge, extremely large rooms, clean, very friendly and accommodating...

We stayed just one night at the Sheridan Livery Inn as we were traveling and wanted to break up our trip. What a treat this place was! I had reserved the room in advance, and was told that it was the only room available for the night as the rest of the rooms had been booked. We ended up with...

The food was excellent, we had a buffet style dinner and everything was hot, fresh and delicious. The wait staff cared for all our needs and were awesome. We had the outside patio, it was a fabulous night and I will be back to check out the town of Lexington!

Lexington, Virginia, is one of our favorite towns to visit on vacation. But for the last two trips, we have decided to stay at the Sheridan Livery Inn because of its location, within walking distance to Washington & Lee University and Virginia Military Institute and nearly all of the historic sites. I was tipped off to Sheridan Livery Inn when...
