I recently visited the House Mountain Inn for my cousin's wedding this past weekend. The location is GORGEOUS! The Mountain Inn has a rustic feel however the amenities are anything but, comfy beds, awesome sheets, (I wanted to take them home!). But what really makes this place in my opinion exceptional was the friendly, hard working, and easy going staff....

I will start with the positive aspects of our visit. Beautiful area, nice decks, nice grounds, fantastic views. All the staff was friendly and helpful. The food was decent, nice afternoon wine and cheese, quiet, peaceful. That said, it was not the best B&B experience we've had. When we arrived there was no one there to check us in. We...

My husband and I stopped here for some R-n-R after 5 days of primitive camping and before more camping. ( my idea of course being he can sleep on a rock for a month straight with no problem.) He's 100% man's man and had never been in a bed n breakfast before, so he couldn't see the positive when seeing...

“Early in May, the oaks, hickories, maples, and other trees, just putting out amidst the pine woods around the pond, imparted a brightness like sunshine to the landscape, especially in cloudy days, as if the sun were breaking through mists and shining faintly on the hillsides here and there” Henry David Thoreau: Walden Chapter 17 (25) ‘Spring’ “Bed and Breakfast”...

The room was beautiful. We thoroughly enjoyed the deck and the fireplace. The meals were delicious, with enough variety for a few days. All of the people were kind, courteous and totally focused on the guests and meeting their individual needs. Highly recommend the in-room massage option!

Six couples celebration for new year. All impressed with three day/night stay. The service and staff outstanding. Requested traditional black-eyed peas for New Year's Day and chef featured it along with stewed tomatoes. Wonderful food and hospitality. Highly rate this venue!

First, I have sent two emails in regards to the issues I had with the Cabin and have not recieved any return call or information, this is what has prompted me to make my ordeal public. We rented the cabin...... The road going to the cabin requires four wheel vehicles and we actually damaged our Hyundai Elantra in the ruts...

We visited while attending a wedding on site. The service and staff are incredible, the views are amazing and the drinks were reasonable. We had a huge room with a gas fireplace. In addition we had a private balcony with a hot tub. Thanks Jamie!

We spent 3 nights here for my birthday. Everything was perfect, the room was large and comfortable. The food was fantastic, we were hard pressed to save room for desert at dinner, and the breakfasts were really good too. The public areas are so pretty, and the view is wonderful. We saw a bald eagle, humming birds, and eastern blue...

We stayed at House Mountain Inn on the way back from SC to CT with our two children. We chose a room that had a queen bed and a pull out couch. The deck was private with a small hot tub. The kids loved the hot tub! Our room was huge and very clean. The bathroom was very large as...
