After completing a run as stage manager for a musical, I was ready for some peace and quiet and relaxation----found all here. We stayed 2 nights in the Overseers Cottage. I had a wonderful king poster bed that was so very comfortable! Also, nice adjacent sitting area, small refrig with cold water and supplied soft drinks. Bathroom was good size,...

We stayed one night at the beginning of March 2016. It is a great location to sight see out of and the rolling hills are beautiful to look at and peaceful. Doc gave us a tour and the history is fabulous and it is quite apparent that he loves Prospect Hill. We had dinner there and it was fine. We...

Please do not let the bad review concerning the Boy's Cabin keep you from experiencing this Virginia treasure! The Boys Cabin was built in 1699. If you want something new and sterile, please, check into a Doubletree to begin with. Prospect Hill is a delight from start to finish. A friend and I visited this week to help celebrate the...

Beware!!! My husband and I were very excited about staying at the Prospect Hill Plantation. We arrived and left the bed and breakfast at 10:30 pm because the cabin we were staying in was dirty and we were concerned about the fire safety of the facilities. The cabin was built in the 1700s and we understood that when we requested...

Visited on a rainy January weekend. We could not walk the grounds. We stayed in the Overseers Cottage, 1720. Very comfortable, working fireplace. Dry wood provided. Breakfast was great. Staff very friendly and helpful. Good base for visits to area wineries.

Took advantage of the grand getaway special in early January 2016. Had a most memorable weekend with my wife of 20 years! What we enjoyed most were the personal touches; the personal greeting upon arrival and the entire staff was aware it was our anniversary. What really impressed me was our waiter James overheard us discuss the wine at dinner...

I took my 3 year old Granddaughter to have Breakfast with Santa and everything from the breakfast (which was wonderful!) to the visit with St. Nicholas, to the crafts the little ones did, to the cookies they decorated was really special! She loved the entire morning and so did we! The Inn was decorated with a collection of Nutcrackers and...

It was an honor to have you join us for our annual “Breakfast with Santa” celebration! We remember your granddaughter well, as we have the most-delightful photo of her looking up the chimney, almost as if to see for herself from where Santa came!

Prospect Hill is a fantastic Inn. The main house has been built and added to over the centuries, resulting in a treasure of interesting rooms, beautiful details and charming nooks. The property is located on many acres of privacy and forests. The out buildings (stables, carriage house, kitchen and Uncle Guy's Cabin to name a few) have been converted into...

Feeling the urge you to "stop and smell the flowers?" This Inn, its property, food, hosts, accommodations all merge seamlessly allowing you to do just that. Chairs and benches scattered throughout the property invite you to linger at the loveliness all around. Take a short hike in the property's wooded area, watch the free range chickens wander, sit and absorb...
