There's something warming about stepping into a lobby to see your name on a Welcome Board. This was the first of many hidden treasures of this fabulous lodge. Accompanying my husband to Lynchburg to settle in for a new job, I wanted to stay at a local bed & breakfast and not the same old chain. So we entered this...

This place is great! A little off of the beaten path but well worth the stay. My family and I have stayed there and the rooms are greater than the average room. Each one has a separate entrance, private bath fully stocked, full size fridge, microwave, and all dishes and cooking utensils included. The room has a full kitchen so...

The room and bathroom were spacious and had a full refrigerator, a microwave and dishwasher. This would be a great place for anyone who is planning to stay for several days. The price was great considering the spacious rooms, and a full breakfast from a menu was included. The only negative aspect was we had to wait at the desk...

This place has the space of a two room suite and a made or order breakfast that was delicious...AND INCLUDED! The rooms were VERY clean. They had some homey touches of a bed and breakfast but the size of the facility is more like an Inn. Staff was very down to earth. The layout is a little quirky but we...

Our room was spacious, more of a studio apartment than a hotel room! The staff are very friendly and helpful with recommendations for dinner which were very good! The made to order breakfast is definitely MUCH better than the usual hotel breakfast buffets. We definitely felt welcome and would certainly stay here again if in the area.

I have stayed here quite a few times. The rooms are clean and spacious. They are more of small apartments then a hotel room. So if you want to feel like you are at home this is the place to stay. Breakfast is included in the stay and it is AMAZING!! I have not enjoyed the amenities of the spa,...

Needing a place to stay in Lynchburg for an extended stay, I was hoping to find a "home away from home" where I was close to the city, but felt like the country, where I could bring my dog with me, and where I had a kitchen for preparing my own meals... and I found all that and more at...

Not being familiar with the Lynchburg area, I started my stay at a name-brand chain hotel. It was okay but I was looking at an extended stay and wanted something that would be more like home. I had the pleasure to find the Acorn Hill Lodge which fit the bill perfectly. I stayed in a room in the main lodge...

Very spacious room (no. 4) with balcony. Perfect stopover spot driving through Lynchburg from West Virginia to North Carolina. Very kind managers who live on the property and keep a family of very sweet white ducks. Forget the Peabody! Watch the duck parade every morning and afternoon at Acorn Hill! Very kind service at breakfast. Shower was temperamental at first...

The staff is amazingly dog friendly and the food and service at the Bistro...
