We spent 4 nights here recently and walked from the door each day on in very different directions. Our rooms were comfortable and well appointed. The public rooms are very cosy and the evening meals fantastic - just the type of food needed for walking. Very good internet connection

We celebrated our ruby wedding anniversary here with family and friends and it was perfect in every way. We booked the entire guest house for the weekend( you need around 16 or more people to stay) and it made the celebration very special. We have stayed before but it was the first time for several of our party and they...

We spent three nights with a group of friends last week and enjoyed our stay very much. What impressed us most were the generous home-cooked meals, the friendly but unfussy welcome and the roaring fire in the evening. We appreciated the spotless bathroom with instant hot water at all times for a pre-dinner soak after a day on the fells....

Stayed here on previous occasions and keep returning due to the quality of the accommodation, food (lots of it) and the friendly and welcoming staff. One of the highlights of staying here is the atmosphere at mealtimes sharing the days experiences with fellow guests who come from all parts of the world as well as the UK. Look forward to...

This is the forth time we have stayed here and never disappointed, lovely people, great food and very reasonably priced. The bonus is that on can take dogs (we have two large ones). No onder people go back time and again from all over the country. Also excellent for vegitarians as nothing is too much trouble in the food department.

We visited Seatoller House for the 6th time in July this year. For us, as keen walkers, the welcome, food, general comfort and atmosphere was, as ever, exceptional. The location is hard to beat for convenience and accessibility to the mountains.

We ended up in Seatoller House by chance - and are so grateful we did. Our room was comfortable and homely, we loved the guest lounge and kitchen facilities. The bathrooms had just been renovated! The dinners and breakfasts were fabulous. And probably the best part was the other guests - mostly regulars who return year after year - were...

I have stayed many times at Seatoller House. It's always magic to arrive and sad to leave. Seatoller is a tiny village in a gorgeous Lakeland setting. The house is full of history and character, but also very comfortable and relaxed. Every room is different, each with a lovely view of the surrounding hills or the large garden that surrounds...

Our group of friends met again at Seatoller House for nine days in early September. We calculated that we have now been going every year for twenty five years. Nigel and Trish continue the tradition of providing a homely, comfortable and friendly atmosphere whatever the weather throws at us outside. The food was truly luxurious and I fear we all...
