It's always how a problem is handled. The Briar Patch is close to the DC Metro area but secluded enough to offer a quiet and peaceful setting. The places is well-groomed and quite nicely finished out with exquisite furnishings and decorations. Ali (sp?) and Henriett were exceptionally gracious and attentive without being intrusive. We encountered a minor glitch in checking...

We stayed there for an overdue vacation. We loved it, right in the middle of wine and horse country. Lots of hiking close, Historic Middleburg, other great historical sites and wineries. The staff was amazing and breakfast was always great. They even offer free snacks all day/night.

My husband and I stayed on a Sunday night - the last night of a 4 day weekend in the area. I had reserved the Daisy room as I liked the location of the room downstairs and right off the patio and pool. The B & B is very welcoming but a little out of the center of Middleburg -...

Stayed here for three nights for our son's wedding. We had the entire B&B for the three nights we were there. We were in the main house in the Violet Room. As expected with old farm houses there were lots of creaks and groans with the old floorboards. Loved it! The breakfasts were very good. The entire venue was perfect...

We had a very nice stay at Briar Patch. Henriette was very nice and took great care of us. We enjoyed the pool and hot tub. Breakfast was wonderful. We stayed on one of the hottest days of the year and the thick walls of our room and the window AC unit kept us comfortable.

We arrived in the evening and were left a note with directions of what to do. The place was empty and not very welcoming. We felt very alone, if we needed anything, I wouldn't be sure who to contact... The next morning we had breakfast which is at 9, by 920 when we arrived the all in one casserole (potatoes,...

We are sorry this guest had a less than satisfactory experience. As you can tell from our other reviews, we pride ourselves on giving our guests outstanding service. When a guest arrives after hours, we do a self check-in. Our breakfasts are normally very tasty and our managers very inviting. We are sorry that this guest did not feel that...

We enjoyed a wonderful time at Briar Patch. The charm was evident immediately and we cannot say enough nice things about how Ali extended the most gracious hospitality before and during our stay. The surrounding town and farms and wineries were amazing and even though it was misty to rainy throughout our stay we enjoyed ourselves totally. A truly wonderful...

Well what can I say... Briar Patch was our choice of destination upon our second and last relocation to Virginia. This was our third visit. It really was great being somewhere familiar during our relocation. We stayed in the cottage this time with our cat, Friendly. We had the pool and the hot tub to ourselves all week long. Sitting...
