My boyfriend and i took off for a back road trip to Williamsburg from Ohio. I had planned to stop at Wayside on the trip down. As soon as we walked in the door I knew I would love it. The owners were so welcoming. We got there in time for dinner and the wait staff was very attentive. They...

My family and I stayed at the Wayside for a surprise engagement proposal a few weeks ago. After spending a fantastic Valentines Day at the Inn earlier in the year, I knew that it would make the perfect setting for a fun and romantic proposal. George and Becky were impeccable hosts. They accommodated everything we needed to make the night...

Becky is an owner-operator and a fantastic host. Her energy and hard work make the Inn a destination attraction. She is always accommodating and the perfect hostess. The Inn has many special events, buffets and music. Definitely call ahead because hours of service can vary along with the events. Must try the famous peanut soup, turkey Reuben sandwich with great...

My wife and I stayed two nights as part of a surprise engagement party. Our room #12 was spacious but on the 3rd floor (and steep stairs from the 2nd) and no elevator. Elderly visitors would likely prefer the second or ground floor rooms. We had an en suite full bath which had adequate water pressure, plenty of good towels...

Strong WiFi signal; however, there was a spotty Verizon signal. The inn is a charming old building, with character, originally built in 1797. The deadbolt on the door didn't work due to door misalignment (Rm 3); however, door knob lock was OK & chain lock available. Staff was receptive to the issue. Within walking distance to Nana's Irish Pub. The...

A little off the beaten path but such a cool building - the oldest continuously operating Inn in the US - since 1797. The interior oozes with history with every leaning door and squeaking floorboard. The budget price is incredible especially with the made to order bountiful country breakfast. A MUST STAY PLACE!

The Wayside Inn is convenient to the Cedar Creek Battlefield and still provides great service after almost three hundred years of operation. Opened in the 1730's and providing continuous service since, the Wayside Inn served us with a comfortable antique bed and a great breakfast. The views from #5 aren't so great, but we were there to get some rest....

We were married in Strasburg, VA so returned to Virginia (from Fulton, MO) in October to celebrate our 31st wedding anniversary. Made reservations at the Wayside Inn, and Becky checked us into the Honeymoon suite -- what a treat! Had a MARVELOUS dinner in the Slave Kitchen. Kudos to their talented chef. Our server, Laurie, was such a pleasure and...

What a delight this historic inn is! We immensely enjoyed our stay. Becky and her staff were very accommodating and the breakfasts were delicious. We were given the run of the place and enjoyed all of the antique furnishings. This place also has a bar. We will definitely return!!!!

My wife and I luckily found Wayside Inn for a night after a football game at Fedex Field. We left the game late evening and wanted to get out of DC to spend a night before heading home to NC. It was fairly easy to find, just at the end of I-66 out of DC where I-81 intersects. What a...
