So we knew the general area i wanted to spend the weekend in. It was my husbands 50th birthday, and I just wanted to be in Virginia and in the mountains around the area we were wanting to kayak in this summer. We were wanting to check out the area. We usually take long weekends with just a general idea...

We were looking to break up a trip from Nashville to Harrisburg and decided to stop in Natural Bridge for the night and check out the bridge and stretch our legs in the morning. The hotel is charming and historic and the staff were all exceptionally friendly. The rooms were clean and the beds were comfy. We would stop again...

We drove in late, the staff was very nice & helpful. They upgraded our room to one with a better view since we were the last to check in & it was available. There were carts for luggage which made it easy to bring up all of our things. Our room was a bit sparse but very comfortable & clean....

Stayed in the veranda extension. First floor was helpful with a dog but parking was very crowded with park service vehicles. There is also limited dog walking near these rooms. You have to go behind the hotel up the hill to any grassy area or trail. The room itself was adequate. I stayed overnight on my way north. Mattress was...

I wanted this to be better than it was. It is an interesting place, a mid-century replacement for an old hotel that burned down. The public spaces are grand but when we were there in early February, almost empty. The rooms have been updated but are unremarkable. Dinner in the vast dining room is better than anything in the neighborhood....

It has been years since we have been to the "Bridge" for the seafood buffet. In the past this was an amazing experience and a real treat. I would rate the current presentation as average at best. We arrived with a party of ten, on my recommendation, at 7:00 PM and the buffet was already wiped out and dried out....

While right across the street from the State Park entrance, do not be fooled by the elegant exterior. This is a room for the night with no amenities. There is no pool or exercise room - although there is a trail (about 5mi) behind the hotel. Our room did NOT have a fridge, microwave or a Coffee pot. There were...

Stay here whenever I have to work at the state park. Rooms are clean but furnishings are dated. They have issues with heat/air, hard to regulate the room and windows are old without screens. You have to request a refrigerator as most rooms are not equipped with them. Towels are old and yellowed. Restaurant is expensive and not regularly open...
