Maybe I'll start with positive, which is the view, decent cleanliness and one nice receptionist. Hence the 2 stars. Other than that, it was a terrible place. Rooms fairly small and no insulation, very very basic toiletries and added amenities - 1 star hotels have more. No umbrellas around the pool, and very few lounge chairs. One of the worst breakfasts I have ever had in my life - food quality and service wise- and I have had some bad ones before. Terrible crazy music, creepy total complete darkness in the hotels grounds after midnight. It's a dry (Utah style) hotel, but it's not advertised. ... and I can keep going... For 1500dhs a night we could have done much better. I have been in much better places for a 1/3 of the price.
Stayed here with my family during Eid. The hotel was okay (not a castle) - however at the price we paid, we at least expected water and coffee in the room (there was a kettle and sugar). In addition, we ordered 2 coffees that were priced at €12!!!!!!!! You can stay at better hotels nearby for the same price and better service.
I have been there for a weekend and was really disappointed first thing my reservation wasn't at all what i asked for even i have precised it while booking it The tv remote control was damaged ,no wifi in my room, the heating system for the shower worked for only 3 min then turns on cold version The reception stuff frowning all the time(it cost 0$to smile) and i had to push hard only to get my reservation to the SPA that was already booked and confirmed Truly a big mess there...hope the management team works on that
The 7.8 Booking.com rating is really on point and maybe a bit over the top. With a little more effort in providing excellent service, this hotel has the potential to be the best in Oualidia. Note I visited the Sultana too and this one is much better imo. Sometimes it isn’t the flashy marble floors, or the traditional woody architecture that reflects a hotel’s expectations for a guest, but rather the little things here and there that make the biggest differences. 1. The rooms are pretty clean and the housekeeping is top. This is the reason it wasn’t terrible. 2. Service is like the stock market: up and down and you never know what to expect. You make a call to ask for a towel. It may arrive within 15mins or never. 3. Parking is limited and there is no effort to require guests to park properly. So out of the 10 available spots, there could be 7 cars parked and no space for you. 4. I really liked that the WiFi password is in the mirrors along with the direction of prayer for Muslims. This was pretty cool. 5. Management is terrible and the staff lacks the authority to help guests and make decisions: every time we needed something, the person helping us picks up the phone to ask if it’s okay to give us what we want. When we ask to speak to management, it doesn’t exist. 6. The location is awesome and probably the best for what it’s there to do in Oualidia. Again, the potential is pretty much wasted. …
An amazing hotel overlooking the sea. I had looked at the photos before booking, but photos don't do this place justice, it is even more beautiful in real life! Although we had booked a sea room view, we were upgraded to a beautiful chalet, thanks to the staff which were all very nice and welcoming. In a nutshell, if you visit Oualidi, you must stay there (prices are very affordable for the quality of services offered)
