The room was clean and comfortable and the common areas are beautiful and relaxing. The location is perfect and the pool was a nice bonus. But what stood out to me most was the cheerful and helpful people who work there!

We loved this hotel, great ambiance. It is in a great location, short walking distance to pretty much everywhere in Granada. The hotel and ground were clean, the staff were friendly and helpful with recommendations on restaurants and attractions in the area. We enjoyed the pool area and the breakfast was basic but plentiful.

This is an antique house turned into a hotel. With a nice lobby, a beautiful central garden and a coffee shop with some tables at the corridor sorrounding the garden. You can a enjoy a good breakfast included in the rate, serving four options of dishes. Every area at the hotel is very well maintaned, impecable floors, ceilings, walls, etc....

Great hotel perfect location near the center of town. Gorgeous garden and nice big o clean rooms with good ac, wifi, and hot water. Good breakfast too. We have stayed here twice when our other hotel of choice is booked. Owners have programs to help local kids also.

Came to hotel direct from airport in Managua in a hotel-arranged taxi. Check-in was smooth. In the room they had flowers and wine at my request for my wife's birthday. Room was clean, small, and fairly basic. Bed was rock-hard. By the third night I could sleep without waking up in some sort of minor discomfort. The shower had lukewarm...

We thank you for choosing our hotel during your stay in Granada. We are surprised by the fact that you did not have hot water in the room, as we provide hot water in all the rooms. If you had informed us about the issue at the front desk, we would have given you instructions about It. We cannot avoid...

hurrican Otto drove our party of four from the Caribbean coast back to Managua, which was not going to be fun. So, on a whim we booked Patio del Malinche and headed to Granada. I think it was the highlight of our trip. Service was excellent, premises were secure at night, and the exterior of the hotel opens to reveal...

Beautiful hotel close to the center of the nice city of Granada. Very well managed by the Spanish owner Ramon, resulting in very friendly and pro-active staff, delivering outstanding service for the visitors. You really feel being a guest here! The owner gave on demand very good and valuable advise, especially enjoyed our trip to El Chocoyero.

Great little hotel only one block (5 minute walk) away from the centre of town and close to a lot of the major sights. Hotel offers a choice of three breakfasts, all fruit, cereal and fruit or fried all accompanied with toast and coffee. No other meals available however it's close proximity to a plethora of bars and restaurants is...

It's lovely small hotel near the main square of Granada. After exploring the volcanoes you can relax in the swimming pool and enjoy some drink prepared in the bar. Rooms are very small but hotel has very good services. Breakfast is served after choice from the menu. Not far from the Managua airport.

The location was top notch; it was convenient to walk to many restaurants and sights in this pretty, historic city. It seemed to be a re-creation of a historic hotel and had very old Spanish style and characteristics. It was reasonably comfortable and the included breakfasts were great. We had a room right at the top of the stairs on...

Official Description (provided by the hotel)
More than a place in the world, a house is a place in one's heart. El Patio del Malinche is more than just another hotel, it's a dream come true. Our interest to live in a different culture and to get to know new horizons took us to the ancient town of Granada. The sun-dried bricks of Granada's old walls and the hospitality of its people bewitched us. By restoring an old colonial house we relived a life of peace and serenity created by its inside patios full of history. We hope our guests will be able to revive and share with us the atmosphere of other times. We will be delighted to share our house, where life pours from every corner. ... more   less
