Nice reception, fantastic pool. The room we stayed in was a junior suite, which has (hard) wooden sofa, and two queen size beds. (Also hard, like most hotels in Central America). Close to the Plaza, and a lot of restaurants in the area. Had beef, cheviche, spaghetti, in the restaurant. A bit pricey, and the wok vegetables that came with...

After a week of working with a team for Habitat for Humanity in a small community outside of Managua, we decided to go to Granada for a little rest and relaxation for a couple of days. The hotel is in a very old building and has some elegance to it. The staff were pleasant and we felt we were able...

We were told they had problems electrical with my room. I booked this 2 and 1/2 months before arrival. 5 people in front of us got rooms (Non-Gringo) but it was our room that had a problem? We were offered a room in the alley next to the hotel with no bathroom. To be fair there was a bathroom near...

I didn't think that there was anything wrong with Hotel Granada, but for the price (a little over $100 per night) other similarly priced hotels provide more value. The hotel and grounds are tastefully decorated, the location is good, the pool and pool area are great, but unless you have a convention or wedding there I would choose another hotel....

We stayed here on the last leg of a charity cycle trip. There were 50 of us that arrived and we had a warm welcome. The rooms were nice and big. The pool was quiet, clean and just what we needed. The pool bar there made the best pina coladas. The food and service were below average - they had...

I would give this place 5 stars. The pool is enormous, clean, and just a perfect place to take a swim. Lovely. Stayed here for 3 nights (due to a misunderstanding about the child policy at one of the lake resort hotels). The service is subpar to say the least. Upon checkin, we had to argue with the girl at...

Thanks to other reviews here, we decided to splurge on a junior suite. Even then, I was quite disappointed by the room and overall experience of staying at this hotel. The room was never cleaned properly, and given the dim lighting it looked quite dingy. The sheets on my bed had clear, old stains on them but apparently they were...

Hotel Granada is trading on past glories. Although as most reviewers have said the lobby, pool and grounds are lovely, the rooms are tired and expensive for what they are. We had a second floor room and at night there were very loud noises from rats in the roof space. The stairs to the second floor were often covered in...

I live in nicaragua and often take family and friends to places I have enjoyed in the past. I raved about this hotel a year ago and was even paying them compliments as we checked in when someone inquired about having an event there. The pool and the high ceilings and architecture of the space are impressive but unfortunately that...

I stayed at this hotel for 3 nights at the end of November. We must have been in a renovated room because it was quite nice. I have read a few recent reviews that complain about the queen bed being two twins pushed together. I shared a room with a friend and we had two queen beds that were very...
